This is also a famous Connie, please search for "F-BGNJ (F-BRAD) c/n 4519 - Lockheed Constellation Survivors" for details...French government had designated the aircraft a "historic monument" in 2001...! It's being now restored...!

Yes, the nose is so unusual.... if I look up the keyword "F-BGNJ CONNIE NOSE", I find some truth to the image...there are a pair of lights seen in the RW images in the nose-tip, a Left one (not sure bigger and brighter of the two) and a Right one ... Interesting...!

Yes, seems the nose is not perfekt modeled but can life with that.

Maybe something can be done from the Dev's in a later update - maybe..

Looks pretty good to me.  Here is a photo I took of an actual real life L1049 at Camarillo, California, in 2004, just before it was flown to its new home in Europe.  It is still being flown there as the Breitling Super Constellation.

I'm old enough to have seen these beautiful aircraft operating in real life.  There were at least two distinctly different nose shapes produced, one being the shorter more rounded shape modelled in this case, and the other being the longer more conical shape, some of which I think were fitted with early versions of radar.

A review of archive photos on google shows further variations of the shorter nose version to accomodate extra lights, sometimes mounted side by side and others mounted one above the other.

The original has the light (s) under the nose lookin down and not near the middle looking ahead. These are like lights for a much faster landing jet.

Great screenies of a true beauty and an interesting discussion we have here. Unfortunately I can't contribute to it as I don't know that much of the different Connie versions, except that she had an earlier short and later long nose.

So it seems Redwing modeled here the earlier short nose so good to know, did not know that they had different models..
