EagleSoft citation CJ1 for FSX?

Featured Replies

I have the FS9 version, ported it over to FSX and with the help of one of the forum posters, managed to get it flyable. Still it was not as functional as in FS9, and was rather hard on frames. Can anyone comment on how the new FSX upgrade compares? Is it frame rate friendly, and still a good "Hand Flyer?". Thanks for any comments!

Positive feedback on CJ1 1.5 in our forums...feel free to drop over and register. By the way, it's only $16.78 with coupon thru the 26th of the month and includes 30 Day refund policy:-)

Thanks Ron,I had registered once upon a time, and just forgot to check it. The comments look good over-all. I have really enjoyed my FS 9 version, so I am getting the 1.5 this evening.

I've got the FSX 1.5 installed - it's satisfying in nearly all respects.

Great little jet, even for one who is spoiled with the Eaglesoft Citation X (My default plane in the Eaglesoft hanger at my home airport for FS9). I am flying the FSX 1.5 more and more with a great deal of enjoyment. The only quirk I am seeing so far is in the sound options. Engine sound level in the cockpit view is adjusted by the "cockpit" options, not "Engines". In the spot plane view, if the "engines" sound slider is ever moved, engine sound blares out extremely loudly and can no longer be reduced even if it is unchecked. so my advice if yours reacts the same way, don't touch the engines sound slider. Certainly no biggy! Thanks for another great contribution Eaglesoft!Respectfully:RTH

Thanks RTH. Hmm, that's an issue we'll look at...hoping that FSX SP1 may help in this area. If not we'll certainly examine it. Please register and provide more info in our support forums and we'll follow up on this.:-) Glad to hear you like the plane.

Because it was mentioned here first, just for clarification then, the CJ1's sound.cfg uses nothing but standard, ACES SDK format......if there's a problem with with the sounds at all, it's an FSX issue...

Very good plane for FSX, light on frames, excellent FDE. Great fun to fly fast and explore new destinations/world of FSX.
