Sunday Flight

Featured Replies

My Sunday morning flight. Kelly Field over San Antonio CBD and then on to San Antonio International. I could not see the Riverwalk though. Maybe that was just me.

Where did you lot fly to this morning?

It’s only Saturday where I’m at, but I flew the Bahamas this morning, downloaded the Bahamas pack from .to and cruised around in a Kodiak…great times. Planing on flying again in a bit but haven’t decided where yet… Papua New Guinea has some awesome flying spots 🤔

 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

Yesterday I flew a fully loaded Milviz Porter from Cochabamba Bolivia which has a nice freeware airport to  Mizque a dirt strip 60 nm East.

Today I did a flight from Cochabamba again but with the Gina to Copacabana Peru, by the lake.

The West coast of South America is a great place to fly in MSFS.

Sunday morning was Scottsdale AZ to Truth or Consequences NM and then up to Santa Fe in the Kodiak cargo.

I'm mostly awayting the release of the now announced Iberia SU and chcek how the "gliding areas" look after the update.

One area where even at it's presently incomplete weather and aerodynamics state MFS can be of use is in planning glider tasks in Portugal and Spain.

Another interesting use might be to dump a soaring track from

https://www.onlinecontest.org/

and display the recorded task in MFS.

I always pick up from the last place I left off.  Currently making my way across the desert in Africa.

I was going to do a short hop from Fuerteventura to La Palma (I’m into challenging approaches at the moment) but due to server problems I didn‘t have aerial imagery so I shut it down and started watching the new season of Ozark instead. I might retry that flight today or, depending on when WU7 is online, I‘ll check out Australia.

Edit: On my way to La Palma and boy does it look gorgeous. Now I just hope I won‘t mess up the landing.

I took the Kodiak from Spotted Bear USFS Montana, to a number of bush strips in the area. Then, I landed at St Ignatius (Cool little airport). Hopped into my Mooney, flew North to Glacier Park (Windhovers Freeware scenery). Ended up buying the Seneca on a whim after enjoying the Mooney so much. Wanted some De Icing capabilities, and got tired of waiting on Milviz. Took the Seneca for its first flight in night IMC (Don't recommend, but she did very well). Went from KGPI to Pentiction (CYYF). Fighting a 45 knot headwind the whole way, but the Seneca is quick and after the RNAV, we made a smooth touchdown.

Saturday i flew the A320NX from KIND to KLGA to see if i could land in the Bomb Cyclone. Wasn't the easiest thing but it was manageable. Sunday did a similar flight KPIT-KLGA much better weather.

Thanks for mentioning this.  Im doing a slow RTW trip and have been exploring South America for a long time, but now headed back to the top into Venezuela in the Kodiak and then heading into the Caribbean and Bahamas.
