It almost looks like a giant cruise ship has sailed onto the tarmac!

That's a nice control tower.  The two I've worked in were ancient trash.

I take sort of the inverse view...  It just makes the Orbx airports that I bought for just a dollar more in most cases all that much more impressive.  I really had forgotten how much I liked Orbx airports until recent sales.

I'm not really too terribly disappointed with YPPF.  I just don't know why the runways/taxiways weren't updated.

Why?

Update: Checked out a video of the scenery and it answered my question.

As one who lives right next to that airport the most disappointing thing to me is the surrounding buildings. I know they were not covered by the YPPF purchase but I do wish someone could do something to make the area look a bit more realistic. There are no 3 or 4 story buildings around it for a start, just a big Bunnings and Office works and warehouse sized ones.

The comment below mine was my thought also , now Lord Howe was well worth the money .

For Australia the Lord Howe scenery is great, especially because it includes Ball's pyramid.

Others will know better than me but, at almost 2000' I think Ball's pyramid is permanently NOTAMed?

Imagine stooging around VCY Lord Howe and popping out of cloud to be greeted by this guy right in front of you!   Pilot:  "We're in the stickiest situation since Sticky the Stick Insect got stuck on a sticky bun."

That was a Blackadder quote of course but related to the interesting story in that Wiki article about the stick insects on Ball Pyramid.

No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.

Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower!

I'll add Lord Howe.

I also want add YPAD and the 2 Tasmania airports by NZAS.

My only concern is performance. I read that the NZAS airports were hard on fps. It could just be the cumulative effect.
