Im confused (And im really not trying to be rude)... Does it not say to go to the Microsoft Store ?

For me what seems to work when I know an update has dropped is the following:

• Empty community folder (I use the addons linker and have a update profile which has nothing loaded)
• Check windows is up to date
• Go to Microsoft store and open your library then check for updates (There was an update for MSFS 2020 and it downloaded which was approx 500mb)
• Once the above update is complete open the sim from the Microsoft store and then you should see an update available. I have literally just done this and I am now downloading the 4.11GB update from within the game
• When you get into the sim for the first time after updating go to the content manager and perform any updates there
• Load a default aircraft at any airport and then once in the cockpit go to settings and delete the rolling cache 
• Exit the sim and restart, I always do a quick flight with a default aircraft before adding any 3rd party back (obviously check for updates there as well)

In your case if you haven't already done it click, OK and it should open the Microsoft store and start the update

it has always been the case you need to do first the store update.

Oh they have changed it to XBOX Store

 

 

Now its giving me this issue. Error!

I am still on 1.22.2.0

I am able to load the sim.

But I am not able to Update...

This is so confusing for people,

I only ever had to update through the XBox app some time ago. All recent updates have been completed successfully using the procedure I noted above.

Maybe you could try rebooting your PC and going to through the method I use

I tried Rebooting. Same error!

About the confusion Part... Yes I recently have been updating through the Xbox too. Except the Last update it was not required to do do the update.

You need to download XBOX Console Companion. Update all from XBox ap, then run msfs 2020.

OK I am in XBox Console Companion.

I see only flight Simulation (Standard)

with 3 options Play, View in MS store and unfollow

open xbox ap. Look for msfs 2020 icon on the left. It should say update available.

Where is it?

 

Manny, you could try the library button in the lower left corner of MS Store.
My update was there.

They really don't. I agree it's not as straightforward as it could be (I think we'd all accept that), but the process has been much the same for some time. I launched MS Store, checked for updates when it didn't show immediately, and it began the process. I haven't updated through Xbox app for a while now - no idea why you have had to.
