Keep your replies civil. INS is not possible as things stand because MSFS does not allow for latitude and longitude points to be entered into the sim. The SDK requires more work. A question for the developer of DCS Concorde. 😉 I don’t have MSFS so I can’t really comment about oceanic tracks. Ray (Cheshire, England). Thanks! Can't say for other devs, but for the time being Concorde will have an FMC ( with a small screen ) that mimics the INS visually, thus allowing the data entry needed to cross oceans etc. Once WASM gauges are stable and cross-platform in MSFS, we have an INS set-up ready to go in collaboration with Just Flight. That will then become an option for users of Concorde - detail fans can select a proper INS, fans of something simpler can keep their FMC ( with the choice controlled by a simple selector switch - sounds easy if I say it quickly enough 🙂 ). Best we can do for all folks at this stage - I didn't want to delay Concorde's launch based on one instrument that I know many users won't want to use anyway, as it's quite a faff to input multiple LAT LONS prior to take off.

March 3, 20224 yr Thanks for trying! LOL @Ray Proudfoot @DC1973 Thank you for the info. Since I've been able to sim "complex" airliners, I've used an FMC. I won't mind using it on this aircraft! "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma

I have a feeling release is imminent, if you’ve run FSL launcher recently then there are lots of teaser picks like “Sharkies, I am your Father” in distinctly Star Wars type font and others too. March 3, 20224 yr So from @DC1973‘s past comment, if I am reading it correctly, the INS can be done for PC but there are limitations for X-Box at the moment: Quote Both myself and my coding guy have spent some time looking into this. Currently, there is no way to code LAT LON inputs into MSFS, Asobo simply have not implemented it at this time. That would mean building an entire INS from scratch, in order to serve the small number of users who would consider it essential, so I don't think it's going to happen at this point. I won't rule it out for an upgrade though, I know it's possible to create such things but it would take quite some time. ETA: Just had it confirmed that C++ and WASM gauges will be required for a CIVA INS, and WASM doesn't work yet on consoles ( hence why the DC-6 was pulled ). But at least I know it can be done now so once WASM is available for everybody, an INS will be added as an option for those that want it. Best I can do at this point. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/614203-dc-designs-just-dropped-a-new-concorde-teaser-trailer/?do=findComment&comment=4718772 i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

March 3, 20224 yr DC Designs have been pretty straight forward and blunt of to what to expect. Not sure why folks even bring up FSLabs comparisons as if we care at this point. The DC Designs FSX version Concorde was fun to fly for what it is and the MSFS version will be even better from what it looks. DC Designs were very responsive and gave us quick fixes and updates with the FSX Concorde release. So day one buy for me INS or not. March 5, 20224 yr Thank you DC designs for describing what to expect. This is looking like a must-have add-on for MSFS and it is clear you want to do justice to the aircraft!
March 6, 20224 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the kind words folks 🙂 I'm genuinely surprised that I'm able to write the following, but due to a Herculean effort by coder and flight model guru CodenameJack, the operation of the fuel system on the Flight Engineer's station can now be operated directly by reference to the actual aircraft manual / popular websites dedicated to Concorde. The fuel system is basically the same now as the real Concorde, with only a tiny handful of minor functions not possible at this time in MSFS. The electrical panel and hydraulic system are also fully functional, but we have decided not to model failures at this time, as I think most users will already have their hands full, and spoiling a four-hour flight half-way through isn't really the DC Designs way. The autopilot is also fully functional in the same way as the real Concorde, with CodenameJack and Paul Frimston from Just Flight ironing out tiny flaws in terms of function / airspeeds and other factors to make it as close as possible to reality. Max climb, Max cruise, all the vitals are there and working as they should be. The flight model also is highly realistic, with the chaps trying to get ground effect just right at the moment ( it was actually used to land Concorde - 15ft above the runway, 700fpm descent rate at the correct airspeed and Concorde would float above the runway on the huge ground effect from her delta wings - careful throttle use then controlled the landing ). ( Note: An automated fuel-transfer system is also present so that users don't have to do all of that themselves. However, for those that want to, it's all there ). Interactive points now include Jetways, GPU, fuel truck, catering and baggage trucks. As of Monday, we're working to finish off the last instruments, and beginning the process of polishing the package ready for release at the end of March. By that time, I will need a long holiday with intravenously-supplied beer 🙂 Edited March 6, 20224 yr by DC1973

March 6, 20224 yr Really looking forward to this one. I have been thinking about the FSL version which I know will be good but I really want to move over to MSFS and leave P3D behind. The Concorde was one aircraft that I thought would keep me on P3D for a long time but this has changed the picutre completely and I can't wait for 3...2...1....Now Mark CYYZ
