If anyone else is having this issue, I found out that in my case, FlyTampa’s Pearson was causing the problem. If I remove Pearson, I get no FPS drop when looking at the airport buildings from the taxiway. Not an ideal solution but hey Ho.
April 4, 20224 yr I have that same issue with looking upon the airport buildings. Removing FT Pearson can't be solution imho. It's strange, too, as Pearson is quite a distance away, but who knows, there happen strange things in simulation. April 4, 20224 yr Hi Guys, Forgive my curious question but with reference to imagery provided in the first link by the OP, and given that the only 'jets' allowed into this airport are aeromed evac flights, why is there a parking spot that looks awfully like a tactical fighter dispersal area with anti- blast protection? Cheers Terry No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea. Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower! April 4, 20224 yr I'm gonna pass on this one for now....it looks gorgeous but I honestly don't care to have to disable default sceneries to get this one to work nor remove Flytampa's Pearson for good performance. You could use addon linker to only activate one between CYTZ and CYYZ. Deleting the default airport is also really easy in the content manager. Apart from that: How much worse is the performance in comparison to default/premium CYTZ with FlyTampa's CYYZ active? I think the FPS in the Toronto area really don't depend on that tiny airport scenery in CYTZ. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

April 5, 20224 yr Author I'm torn on this one. The scenery looks amazing, and the handcrafted downtown is definitely appealing, but as an airliner flyer, there's nothing to reasonably fly in there. While the CRJ's dimensions would allow it to use the gate spaces, the FMC won't recognize runways shorter than 4,500 feet so the facility doesn't exist in the database. I'm curious how the fictional runway extension is going to work since Navigraph uses published data and won't have the fictional set, and as a result, neither will the CRJ. From what I've read on their discord channel, YYC is up next, and they've been working on it for over a year. Should be great, I'm very impressed with their sceneries so far. 4 hours ago, Tuskin38 said: Heathrow has one as well There’s probably a sound limit in the area. Yeah, noise abatement, it's also why it's located as far away from the waterfront as possible.

Yeah we really need a Q400 in this sim. I’ll still buy it for GA flights in the meantime though.
