If you saw frame rates dive during a flight, it's something else. Ah. Well I've seen no FPS hit on the ground with SU9. What I have noticed is that the AI and Static Aircraft sliders make no difference whatsoever to the density of aircraft you get at any airport. I have Simple Traffic installed. I have AI traffic set to 25 and statics set to zero and it's a job to find a free gate anywhere. Could this have something to do with the issue? Edited April 28, 20224 yr by jarmstro

If this flight turns out good I will Install Goty PG cities again as Utrecht is one of the PG cities in that package. According to testing of this phenomenon being reported on forums.flightsimulator.com, the interaction between the PG cities add-ons and their impact on FPS is complex and somewhat unpredictable. If you pick and choose what you turn on and off, you're liable to see inconsistent results. Best to compare all or none. April 28, 20224 yr EDDF is not in a city with PG data baked into Bing maps, so I'd be surprised if uninstalling PG add-ons data would have an impact there. I posed that test when I read someone's comment that 'T-LOD 300 causes no fps issues for me'. It's a meaningless statement w/o the entire context. This has been true since the dawn of flight sims and really surprised when someone posts this kind of comment. Then again I never frame anything as an 'fps issue' as the benchmark here is >=30fps as that is required for smooth, stutter-free performance gate to gate, and that is what I experience 100% of the time now. The PG trick was yet example of chasing red herrings, for me... Probably more so flying into EDDF, LFPG, EHAM and similar. But for the last month or so I’ve flown pretty much all over Europe in the A32NX, payware airports, AIG. TLOD 300, most settings high/ultra. I don’t expect the sim to be 100% stutter-free. But most of the time smooth with the occasional stutter. Edited April 28, 20224 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

April 28, 20224 yr If I was just flying single/twin VFR I could also crank up my settings and LOD all day long. I think the issues folks are having are with more complete aircraft and airports. It is possible to run TLOD at 300 without significant stutters if other settings are maximised to allow it. If other settings are more important to the user then they may have to turn their TLOD down.
