April 28, 20224 yr Author Just landed at Schiphol. The framerate stayed above 30. However, beautiful weather with almost no clouds. So I choose the Broken clouds theme and then the framerate dropped below 30… Vol Clouds at High. So the improved clouds also have a big influence here after 2h+ flights And the flightsim.to Addons too when there are many clouds… It is like a bucket with water where there is a small hole at the bottom. Water is dropping out but there is also water dropping in from above. The moment the dropping from above (Addons, clouds) goes faster than the dropping from the hole at the bottom the water is spilling over the edge = system overload = framerate drop MSFS with SU9 is very sensitive …. Disableing PG cities , lowering both LOD, lowering Vol Clouds detail, only using the departure / arrival airport in the Community folder (if they are Addons) might help with this issue…. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0

I am running at 3440x1440 which would account for some difference but maybe I'm underestimating that. All Ultra, 16x/8x, O-LOD 200, RS 100-120, T-LOD 100-400, situation dependent, all 3D Photogrammetry Cities enabled. All world airports in the B78X HD perform beautifully to the requisite solid 30FPS minimum for Vsync to work at 60Hz for the entire flight plans from gate to gate over at least 6h flights into any airport. I don't get it and I feel for you it's a total puzzle. Apparently around 15% have had issues w/ SU9, 85% no issues and often reports of smoother animation so at least it's not a majority of users. 15% might get the attention of Asobo. No change between SU8 and SU9 here. SimpleTraffic, Bejan's Seasons, that's it and some airports. April 29, 20224 yr Author Today the same flight from Ajaccio to Amsterdam. Framerate Unlocked : See the framerate drop the closer I get to the airport. Pay attention to the framerate at the end at the Gate.. And then I switched off PSXT so all AIG ac disappeared: I had PSXT set to 15% parked ac + Live AC. LOD was 150/150. So MSFS with SU9 now has worse performance when using AIG traffic than SU8. Going down from 52 to 27 is a lot…. Normally I had LOD 200/200 and EHAM at 25% parked AC + Live AC. April 29, 20224 yr Not only pg cities effects performance, but also pg items at custom airports(for example orbx lirq airport) effect fps... So disabling pg cities is not completely resolving performance problem. Until a fix, You have to turn off photogrammetry to overcome this issue. C. Uygar Aircraft Maint. Engineer. at LTFJ

Luckily I have very powerful pc’s so in flight I have high fps. It is after a 1h+ flight and landing at a major airport with many AI ac that this shows on my pc’s. For the moment I have lowered both LOD to 150 and parked AI ac in PSXT to 12%. Hopefully we will be getting a Hotfix as waiting for SU10 would not be very pleasant to do…. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
April 29, 20224 yr Hello Folks, This is just a question about the fellas at Asobo studios. It would appear that those folks either don't flight sim or they don't test the updates before launching. ever since I have bought the full MSFS software i have never gotten into a regular routine of flying, its a constant fix this or fix that , and when you think you got everything under control. a update comes by and screws everything up. Im concerned on how many more updates they blindly will launch without knowing the impact it will have on the community , and not knowing the effects it will have. Im now wondering if the folks over at Asobo know about flight sims and how they really work. They seam to just think its a game and they don't understand how really serious this sim is to folks that have been simming perhaps longer than some of there ages. Third party vendors are very, very important and they are what makes flightsimming absolutely realistic from weather, ATC, cities airports Etc. Its so real now that we have push-back, vendors loading planes, even plane marshals guiding us. From start up to shut down, if not for the third party vendors it would be just a game. Flight simmers fly these planes just as real pilots fly there planes. So im just venting just to let you folks over at MSFS sim that we take this hobby, sport, escapism whatever you want to call it a chance to experience something that most of us will never get to do and that is soar the skies. Im not telling you folks how to do your job, but i am suggesting that you folks thoroughly test your updates with the community in mime. and not just throw it out there and we have to spend more money and time to get it working right. Im just wanting to get a handle on the sim without constantly fixing it ,after i spent over a hundred dollars on this software. I have a right to complain to your company. You folks over at MSFS have a nice day. RobertC
