That is a normal operation. Also, if you stow the speed brakes a/b will also disconnect. Nothing wrong there. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

On every other plane but the PMDG for me that is the case as well. for the 737 I've had to use f1. dunno, If you are saying yours doesn't then maybe I need to check a few other things.

Um, that's actually not the way they work. I could give a four page dissertation on the function and use of autobrakes on the B737 series but suffice to say that autobrakes only provide a selectable rate of deceleration when chosen and this assumes you don't override them with the toe brakes (as happens 99.99% of the time). Typically at our airline, we generally don't use autobrakes except for crosswinds or contaminated runways. Autobrakes, if one doesn't even use the toe brakes, will stop the aircraft on their own, but can be a little jarring for the passengers, which is why we normally brake the same way you would a C172 and override the autobrakes (if they were even selected). In any event, heavy braking is rarely an issue unless the local conditions are very hot and there is a short turnaround time for departure. And in those situations, the critical factor is the potential lack of stopping power for an aborted takeoff. Hot brakes have no effect whatsoever on keeping a plane immobile. https://www.mediafire.com/view/dz3buh31pti9cej/BoeingDriverSignature.jpg/file

Only that the issue occurs after purposely deploying the reversers. Perhaps they aren't fully stowing, despite a little forward thrust on my throttle quadrant. @ShawnG may have found something here... https://www.mediafire.com/view/dz3buh31pti9cej/BoeingDriverSignature.jpg/file
May 28, 20224 yr That would be easy to see if actually you have the indication REV on N1s. Can you check next time, please? 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

No way are deflated tyres in isolation going to hold back a B737 at full thrust. That would be totally unrealistic and hopefully PMDG did not model that as the symptom of blown tyres. I just loaded up the PMDG on the tarmac. when either f2 or the joystick button I have mapped to f2 is pressed, you can see the reversers be pulled up. at that point, I cannot move the throttle, which is what keeps it from kicking back into idle. I then press f1 and the reversers are stowed, and I can move the throttle freely again. I am using standard msfs mapping rather than a third party program to map buttons and such. If yours does different, I'd be interested in knowing what the differences to our setups are.
