Pilatus PC-21 (underrated?)

Featured Replies

I think this plane is underrated, and for $8 in the market place, it's fun to fly.

Sure the cockpit is a little strange looking and could use a minor update, but this plane is a lot more fun to fly to me than a lot of the higher priced ones like the Kodiak.

It's fast, sound is good, and has some auto-pilot functionality (and most fast aircraft like jets don't have any in MSFS, except the bigger ones)...

The designer (Deimos) should fix the cockpit and just a couple bugs, and man this would be right up there with my favorites.

What makes a plane "fun" to fly in this context? And nothing that has strange looking cockpits and is just a lazily slapped together product can ever be considered "underrated".

Haha, well I think more than just slapped together he probably had some issues getting reference images so had to hand render and it's not easy as you think to make cockpit look good with pure generic textures.

I know because in my own renderings, it can be frustrating.

That said, I hardly think his cockpit is THAT bad, it's not up to Carenado graphics, but come on...

Sounds like a cash grab to me... and more fun to fly than the Kodiak? Somehow I doubt that.....

Install the gotgravel update and it is an entirely different aircraft. You also get a steam gauges version. in the update.

If you can walk away it's a good landing

I can't do a FS98 cockpit in MSFS 2020. I just can't do it.
