Everything is better than I thought! In terms of weather, lighting and general environmental effects, I think XP12 is up there with the competition. It's funny that random alpha testers do much better videos than the official ones by LR... 😆 "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

Makes me wonder who the heck chooses their alpha testing team anyway. Firstly, to choose someone that has flying skilĺs that iffy as an alpha tester, and secondly, to chose someone that leaks said 'skills' on YouTube as a teaser for their brand spanking new sim. Well, in any case, we are very grateful. At least we know now the sim looks much better than we thought. Either that or it's Austin trolling us all. Oh, Austin... September 3, 20223 yr I wonder if he has access to the latest Alpha build... Quote Link removed, people that break NDA's don't get clicks from us - it's also not even relevant content anymore since it's from so early in the alpha cycle. Is he using ortho, I can't really tell. I do not see the 'pulsing' clouds. Edited September 3, 20223 yr by strider1 AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 4080S, Ram - 32GB, 32" 4K Monitor, WIN 11. Eric Escobar

Looks like ortho to me. That would also possibly explain why there's no 3d water. The atmosphere looks really really good for the most part. Just don't do a timelapse right now! September 4, 20223 yr Interesting to see Toliss A319, LevelUP 737, FlyJSim 727 and XPRealistic working out of the box on XP12. I don't see that XP12 will have many incompatibility issues with XP11 addons. Maybe the scenarios will cause more problems, but planes and even most plugins should work without too much trouble. But I don't recommend shoving all your XP11 addons into XP12 at once when the beta is out and 'hope for the best'. I bet someone will do just that and will complain on the forums saying the sim is broken. Edited September 4, 20223 yr by edu2703

They will work but the flight model will be off numbers a bit. 12 is making the experimental model in 11 the new baseline and there aren't a ton of devs who've advertised working with that model. Now...they've had 12's model for months now, so many of them are likely well along in that update process. But 11 straight into 12 won't be ideal. September 4, 20223 yr I must say, after looking at the other video leaks on the same YouTube channel I linked to earlier, I'm very impressed with the clouds, weather and lighting. I can't believe LR haven't shown similar clips. Probably Austin was running the timelapse he made on a Mac at lower settings.
