September 16, 20223 yr Just quickly as I was waiting for some items: There will be no Marketplace release this Thursday, September 15. Content being processed for release this week is now planned to be included in the next Marketplace release on Thursday, September 22. Official Blog Update from hopefully Chaoticbeauty again, won’t dare to touch that. David knows why 😉 Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
September 16, 20223 yr The explanation for holding all the releases - "To align with SU10 dependencies" - seem to make absolutely no sense when don't appear to be able to commit to releasing SU10 next week. I get the feeling there's stuff happening in the background MS/Asobo are trying to avoid having to tell us about by spouting bland and largely meaningless phrases (are they out of staff again as we saw last year ?)
September 16, 20223 yr It's probably down to the issues recently during Beta whereby MS Store users lost a lot of MP content, fix that and delay any public releases this week and that gives them time to sort it for SU10 public release next week (possibly). Just a hunch. Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

You might very well be right but why say what they did than just say "We're holding marketplace releases for for a week while we resolve technical issues that have affected X-Box customers" ?

Just a hunch. its exactly that. We (a few devs) dont really think they can fix it in time.

Personally it seems beyond useless into deliberately lying to customers when things have gone wrong, but that's just me. Edited September 16, 20223 yr by Matchstick
September 16, 20223 yr On the MSFS Dev support forum there is discussion about the MSFS Marketplace being hacked for some time now. Maybe they want to fix these issues first, before releasing SU10 and any Marketplace updates. https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/questions/10571/looks-like-drm-has-been-cracked-fix-coming.html

It was already getting difficult waiting past midnight to check them out. 😞 2 hours ago, Matchstick said: I get the feeling there's stuff happening in the background MS/Asobo are trying to avoid having to tell us about by spouting bland and largely meaningless phrases (are they out of staff again as we saw last year ?) They are waiting for NVIDIA to release their driver with the DirectX 12 fix before pushing the build to live. For some reason, the upcoming driver is rather late, and the next GeForce Experience update keeps getting delayed (it was supposed to come in early August).

I suspect that this SU10 will be delayed forever until they figure out how to make DX12 work properly, which might be never.

But that doesn't really explain why they needed to cancel this weeks Marketplace updates. The "To align with SU10 dependencies" explaination sounds to my ears like rubbish, frankly.

DirectX 12 is currently working extremely well for AMD GPU users (better performance and smoother frame times), and it will for NVIDIA too when they release their driver fix. In the first beta build it also worked well on NVIDIA GPUs assuming there was enough VRAM (otherwise artifacts would show). There isn't anything else left for Asobo to do, except for their future visual upgrade plans like ray-tracing. It's all on NVIDIA right now. 5 minutes ago, Matchstick said: But that doesn't really explain why they needed to cancel this weeks Marketplace updates. If the latest products and updates were designed to be compliant with Sim Update 10 (which makes sense since it's been in open beta for two months and originally planned for release this week), they could be incompatible with the live Sim Update 9 build.

I haven't seen any feedback from devs that anything going onto the marketplace must be SU10 ready and since MS were reporting that SU10 was expected to be released this week, if this was a restriction why wasn't it applied to last weeks marketplace update (unless they had no intention of releasing SU10 this week ?) Good point. There are many reports of excellent DX12 performance for AMD users. Like the example I posted recently (can't remember which thread). I expect this will come to us nVidia users as well. We'll just have to wait a little bit longer. 1 hour ago, Bobsk8 said: I suspect that this SU10 will be delayed forever until they figure out how to make DX12 work properly, which might be never. Wow, that's very negative Bob. I don't share that view. Edited September 16, 20223 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
