SU10 problem

Featured Replies

Just did the entire SU10 update - not that there was any choice.

Now msfs after the flight aircraft, origin etc has been selection and then go fly is selected does a shutdown. It was fine before the update.

Did you reboot your pc? Which aircraft? Any specific airport or region affected?Any addons installed in community folder?

Yes, rebooted, tried with different aircraft both oem and addon, different locations…..no joy.

My community folder is well populated and I’m not yet ready to start disassembling it.

I had hoped there might be others in the same boat who had solved the problem.

I would say your problem lays with one of the addons in your community folder, Only way of testing that is to like take half out, and test, if it runs the problem lays with one or more addons in that group. if not then do the same with the other half.

agree with Car147, there will be no way to rule any of your community content out before blaming SU10 like so many others do (you didn't 😉) when not even thinking about their well populated community folders. so for a start just rename or move or whatever your community folder, no need to disassemble it at this point. then restart MSFS and see if everything works fine. If yes, THEN you may have an issue with skimming your well populated community folder and put/copy one after the other back

ONly problem I have seen so far is FS Realistic in the Fenix, I hear passenger chatter now while I am flying, it just used to be while taxiing. I just turned the volume off. Everything else seems to be OK

Does the sim not show you the option to start in safe mode on restart after crash.

This will start the sim without any addons to test the vanilla sim without having to touch the community folder?

By chance, were you drinking before firing up MSFS? With me, when I've had a couple, the Realistic passengers start to grumble about the trip even while up in the air.

I think MSFS should have a switch that allows you startup the sim in safe mode. (Maybe it does already)?

Why on earth are you not using the Addons Linker.  Would take you seconds to empty the Community folder and only a very short time to put back into Community what you really need for a flight, and build from there if wished.

If you don't have a truck load of add ons, which I don't the add on linker is more trouble than it's worth in my opinion.

Addon linker is one of the best addons for this sim, never had an issue with it, pity i cannot say the same for some addons.

Sure is. Makes you wonder why Asobo didn't build it in right from the start...

I too am having the same problem, have tried different aircraft with no luck, try to start up in safe mode which disables all third party addons and same result. The simulator will not respond after selecting fly in the world map.

At a loss!!!

As everybody else mentioned, get add-on linker and you can move all your add-ons to a safe folder. Then you can disable all your add-ons with add-on linker and try flying, If it works, enable your add-ons gradually and find out which add-on is causing your problems.
