Why the Hjet?

Featured Replies

So I fly a sports schedule as if able to do so in real life.  I am currently flying the Hjet with its integrated, model specific, and enhanced WT G3000.  This past ten days with the Hjet I took in MLB baseball games in Chicago, then on to Cincinnati, Ohio, for a college football game.  From there to Providence, RI, for the Baltimore Ravens vs New  England Patriots NFL football game last Sunday.  From there to Bloomington, Indiana, for a Monday night collegiate soccer game.  Then I switched to a recent nicely modded Beech Baron G58  to St Louis for Blues NHL hockey games Tuesday and Thursday nights, then today in that modded (see on TO) G58 back to Bloomington to climb back in the Hjet.

Tomorrow I plan to fly the Hjet from Bloomington to Lincoln, Nebraska, for a college football game, then early Sunday from Lincoln to Baltimore, Maryland, for a 1 pm NFL Ravens football game vs Buffalo.  From there I am likely to fly back to either Bloomington or St Louis......

A year ago I was flying a similar circuit in the stock MSFS Baron G58 or Robert Young modded Bonanza G36 at just under 200 knots, or back in FSX in the Realair Turbine Duke v2 at an average of approx. 250 knots GS.

So this Hjet @ 400 knots+ is cutting severely into my logged hours, LOL!  I love it!  And I do not need to make potty stops for my pax!

Good read! For some reason I haven't looked into it yet - perhaps I'm too happy flying my various GA planes for the moment. But reading this, I'm thinking it could be a nice addition to my hangar.

It comes with a nicely enhanced integrated WT G3000, but there are MSFS G3000 issues not yet overcome.  So full enjoyment does require paying particular attention to the modded G3000's need for entering and executing flight plans.  It is clearly superior however to the current MSFS stock and WT G3000's in that regard.  More information is available at the FXFlight Discord and the turorial videos linked from there.

In addition to the MS Marketplace it is avalable at both Orbx and TO.

Ah yes. I much prefer that. They should have Orbx added to their webpage.

My only gripe is the sounds... and of course once WT does the G3000 I will be happier.

Holds are not enabled? Apart from that, I got a very good first impression 😁 Got her up and running at FL120 between Seattle and Vancouver. Preflight and startup was a breeze even without refering to the manuals - the avionics are very intuitive. I think I'll have a lot of fun with this one 😎

Just a small point to this brilliant aircraft - even Tom Cruise OWNS one - and his paint job is on FS.to

My first landing went ok, although I deployed the speed brakes before the nose gear was in contact with the ground. This caused the nose to go up further. So next time I’ll delay the speed brakes until the nose gear has “landed”.
