October 5, 20223 yr The windshield is icing over. Windshield heat is either "norm" (default) or "off". EDIT: I think this is working as intended, as there is an ice-free area in the middle of the windscreen. Edited October 5, 20223 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
October 7, 20223 yr This looks pretty good, really. I wonder if it will make me feel less terrible about buying that Carenado PC12 for the same price. Is WT going to update their 3000 soon if there are any issues with the plane? 7800+4090+64ram Just Flight RJ, 146 and F28, Piper Arrows ---A2A Aerostar and Comanche---Black Square Starship, Duke(s), TBM, Bonanza/BaronV2, KingAir---FSReborn FSR500---COWS Da42---FX P180, HJet & VJet---FlySimWare Chancellor and LearJet---FlightSimStudio EMB175 &P2006T---Fenix 320---PMDG DC6, 737(700+900), 777---C22J---Milviz Cessna 310 & Porter---SimWorksStudios Kodiak, PC12, Zenith & RV14---BigRadials Goose---IndiaFoxEcho MB3339+F35.

August 13, 20241 yr I have my eye on that as well...I have it..to fly it. I'm logging time in the PC12 and decided to sell my existing customers and work solely through an air charter broker. I'm getting tired of doing all the office work, grinding to get my own clientelle. I want to just be the pilot and fly...I want to fly the Hjet next after I've put on more hours in the PC12. Ciao!
August 13, 20241 yr The only problem with the HJET is it will be the only plane you want to fly. 🤒 sp
August 14, 20241 yr This and the default Longitude are my go to for get ready fast and get there fast!. They are both excellent in performance and ease of use!
August 14, 20241 yr Could someone wiser than me please explain why the Honda Jet Pilot's Operating Manual has ISA +5, +10 and +15 on the Cruise Performance pages? I've not seen this before and wonder if the cruise speeds are based on the temperature on the ground i.e. 20'c = ISA +5, not in the air? I'd also like to understand how you can go faster if you're heavier, as per the chart below. I feel I'm missing something obvious here... August 15, 20241 yr The heavier a plane is, the more lift it needs to generate. To generate more lift, you go faster. It's capable of going full speed at lower weight, but for long range cruise, going slower uses less fuel. ISA is the standard temp, which is 15 C at sea level. For every 1,000 feet up to FL360, subtract 2C. So now you know that the ISA at 36,000 feet is -55C and can use that to calculate aircraft performance. But weather gets in the way, because the actual temperature changes with the weather. If it's 20C at ground level, it's generally gonna be warmer than -55C at FL360, which is a handy thing to know when you're trying to figure out what speed you should go to get good range without falling out of the sky. 😉 So when it's 20C at ground level, you're ISA +5 and can look at that chart instead of the regular one. If you use Simbrief, it tells you the ISA deviation in the flight plan summary and also in the OFP briefing up near the top. (AVG ISA) For instance P010 would tell you to look at the ISA +10 chart.
