Why the Hjet?

Just a quick question: If i buy it at ORBX or TO, are the files still encrypted like they are in the marketplace version?

HJET is a joy if you just want to enjoy MSFS from up there! sp

Ive had the Hjet for around 2 weeks now and love it. I watch it follow a VNAV perfectly, hiting all ALT contrates perfectly on the way down from FL310 to 2,000ft.

Its very fast with a good tail wind in one flight I had a GS 476Kts around 420Kts seems the norm. Not found anything I dislike. Bought from Orbx.

One last thing, I love the built in check lists, even if IMO there are a few things missing. Not much but a few.

Holds are not enabled? Apart from that, I got a very good first impression 😁

That is a function lacking from the current state of the MSFS/WT G3000.  The WT now integrated into MSFS G1000Nxi has spoiled us to an extent!

So I fly a sports schedule as if able to do so in real life.  I am currently flying the Hjet with its integrated, model specific, and enhanced WT G3000.  This past ten days with the Hjet I took in MLB baseball games in Chicago, then on to Cincinnati, Ohio, for a college football game.  From there to Providence, RI, for the Baltimore Ravens vs New  England Patriots NFL football game last Sunday.  From there to Bloomington, Indiana, for a Monday night collegiate soccer game.  Then I switched to a recent nicely modded Beech Baron G58  to St Louis for Blues NHL hockey games Tuesday and Thursday nights, then today in that modded (see on TO) G58 back to Bloomington to climb back in the Hjet.

Tomorrow I plan to fly the Hjet from Bloomington to Lincoln, Nebraska, for a college football game, then early Sunday from Lincoln to Baltimore, Maryland, for a 1 pm NFL Ravens football game vs Buffalo.  From there I am likely to fly back to either Bloomington or St Louis......

A year ago I was flying a similar circuit in the stock MSFS Baron G58 or Robert Young modded Bonanza G36 at just under 200 knots, or back in FSX in the Realair Turbine Duke v2 at an average of approx. 250 knots GS.

So this Hjet @ 400 knots+ is cutting severely into my logged hours, LOL!  I love it!  And I do not need to make potty stops for my pax!

Awesome use of MSFS !  I run something similar to a RW operation.  As the owner of Jet It, FSE, I operate 3 Honda Jets out of KGSO in FS Economy ( https://www.fseconomy.net/ ) Having fun and making lots of v$$ handpicking the VIP charters around the US.  Looks like you may be a Ravens fan.  If so, wishing us a great season 🤞

Is there a shortcut way to quickly satisfy the checklists without having to step through each item when sim time is limited? From some of the videos I watched it seems like most of the time the response to each checklist item is "normal" anyway because of all the automation.

Said another way, can you load the plane directly onto a runway with the engines running, or at least ready to start, so about all you have to do is enter the flight plan and set the radios?

Thanks,

Al

Just had another great flight from CYBD (post World Update 11) to PAJN.  FMS work flawlessly.  Thing I always do though is activate the leg to my IAF.

DX12 (latest studio driver), DLSS Quality (no blurry gauges) No VSYNC with frames in the low 60's.  Smooth all around with no stutters.

Not sure but the water looks improved with DX12.

Edit: I actually saw the  altitude tape go blurry for a few seconds but it was going so fast it looked natural to me.

Cheers

By default the engines are always running when you load the aircraft on a runway. 😉

I see, thanks.  So then the only question is if you do load directly onto the runway, will multiple warnings be going off forcing you to go back to the checklists, or will the Hjet's automation system be generally satisfied so you can just load a FP, set the radios, set flaps and go? 🙂

You can be ready to roll in about 2 minutes, I'm normally in a rush so don't follow the checklist.

System Tests (Set up FP & Avionics whilst this is going on) > W&B > Speeds > Engines > Flaps > Trim > Go......

You don't really need the checklists, since the plane is pretty much set it and forget it. It's basically a Ctrl E kinda plane, and you can be wheels up in a matter of minutes.

I think calling it CTRL E is wrong, just because it makes it sound like a half baked product.

Even if 5 clicks will take it from cold & dark to on and engines running.....

That's one of the (many!) things I love about this Plane, you can be up and flying in under 5minutes easily or sat on the tarmac going through stuff for literally hours! Not being an uber hardcore "must have everything like in r3al l1fe" type of flyer the former quick entry is great, but then there's the depth that I'm (slowly) learning each & every time I jump aboard - which I must do more often in fact.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

You're basically already passing 30,000 feet, whereas the dude next to you on the tarmac is still trying to fire up his aging rust bucket.😄

The title of this thread should be "Why not the HJET" which has no good reasom to not enjoy this plane.
