October 11, 20223 yr MKStudios and RDPresets have both released their rendition of the Girona (Spain) airport... at the same day. Now that's a first in flight sim. Also pretty strange it happens with Girona, an small airport with max. 2 millions passengers that is almost exlusively used by Ryanair. October 11, 20223 yr Ah, but we haven't had more than 2 versions of the same airport yet (looking at you, GCTS and LEBL in P3D)! Would probably go with the MKS version as the terminal and tower textures, plus the ramp and taxiway markings look better. RD Presets has a bit more detail (emphasis on the interior), but apart from the ramp material texture, textures feel a bit cartoonish in places. Having the choice is a good thing, though. October 11, 20223 yr Both seem to have good/bad points regarding the look so will wait until i see more videos of the MK Studios version before deciding. For example, the Control Tower on the MK Studios version does not seem as accurate as the RDPresets one from looking at RL pics of the tower, although the texturing of it seems better in the MK version from screenshots. The MK studios version seems to have the covered walkways on the ramp, which the real airport has had for a few months now based on a youtube video where someone was doing a flight in the summer, where as the RDpresets version does not. So it is hard for me to decide, the MK version is cheaper too and the RDPresets version comes with a GSX profile out of the box although the community will probably do one for MK studios at some point. So I will have to sit on the fence and wait abit for some other comparisons.

October 11, 20223 yr Its still amazing to me there are 3 versions of KBOI (Orbx - Verticalsim - FSXcenery) and many large airports still have none for MSFS (CYUL?)

October 12, 20223 yr I bought the RD Presets one and it's nothing to write home about. Poor for the money imo, compared to the likes of Pyreegue for the same money. Avoid.
