HP and their RPN syntax...totally forgot that that ever existed.

Cool pics everyone, thanks for sharing.   None of my old calculators survived being old enough to hang on to.

My first "computer" was a Ti-58 🙂

The HPs were great, but used that awkward RPN 😕

Have you ever used a circular slide rule?  They fit into a shirt pocket better than a linear slide rule.  I've used both until calculators became available.

How about an E6B?  It's a circular slide rule of sorts.  Just for a different purpose.

Yep Sue, that's it.  I used it many times during my flight instruction and my first cross country solos.  That plus a chart on my lap where I had circled landmarks to look for along my course.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

Which is quite addictive, once you get used to it... still use the HP12C to do my taxes, every year.. 🙂

That's why you feel at ease with even a Trimble 2000 aviation GPS 🤣

I'm so used to RPN I have to think a while when using the conventional calculator in my glove compartment to calculate mileage when I buy gasoline.
