November 18, 20223 yr Carenado have (seemingly very quietly) updated the Pilatus PC-12 to version 1.1 today, but to date I cannot find any reference to it on their website, let alone a log of updated features or fixes. And at Marketplace, it only lists the PC-12 as updated without any details. I'll go fly it and see if I can determine at least some of them, but if anyone has seen any update notes, please post a link? UPDATE: It seems the PC-12 now engages more immediately and reliably (as one would expect) with the pre-set autopilot rate of climb when taking off, the dials controlling instrument lights work as expected now, and the NAV2 and transponder instrument lights have not yet gone off as they did in the past on flights longer than about an hour. On landing, I've noticed that ground steering is much improved, braking more gradual, and handling overall much better. However, it still seems to accelerate and taxi much too quickly, even with correct prop and engine settings. And they appear to have messed with the UV settings for the winglets - add-on textures other than white (not using the default decals), which were perfect before the update now don't cover the winglets properly. There may be other things that I have not yet picked up on, of course, so I'd still like to see a log of changes made in v1.1! November 18, 20223 yr Just tried it... a number of bugs have been fixed - CDI bar on the HSI - GS indicator(s) for LPV approach - Crosswind sensitivity when on the ground However.. - TDS GTN and WT 430 fight over control (use PMS530 instead of WT for now!) - GS indicator does not activate on TDS GTN test page also be aware that the engine instruments need the lighting dials to be turned up to become visible.. November 18, 20223 yr And if anyone can explain to me what the electrical readouts on the overhead are doing when BAT or GEN switches are flipped, I would be grateful 😉 Edited November 18, 20223 yr by Bert Pieke Bert
November 18, 20223 yr Author Yep - they are weird, though the ones on the panel seem to be OK now. Cheers, Brian L Robinson Flight Simmer since 1983 - loving the brilliant Quality Wings 787 and all PMDG models!!
November 18, 20223 yr Is the take-off performance improved? I don't know how it should be in real life, but it seemed a bit sluggish for a STOL aircraft. I won't have chance to try it until Saturday, but this is one of my candidate aircraft for my virtual round-the-world flight if it gets fixed up alright. Sounds like we might need a V1.2 though! November 18, 20223 yr Doesn't fix the issue with engine and fuel panel arcs not being shown on Win 11 22H2

I'm wondering about this as well. Has the STOL characteristics of this aircraft been addressed?🤨 Edited November 18, 20223 yr by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
November 18, 20223 yr STOL is a bit of a loose term, irl its certainly a short field capable aircraft at the right weights and with a proficient pilot, but ultimately its an executive transport, I sometimes get the impression that Kodiak level STOL performance is being expected

STOL in itself doesn't mean a lot, and it has a lot to do with loaded weights of the aircraft involved. I believe early on, someone checked the Pilatus quoted take of run at a certain weight, against the one in the sim, and it seemed the Carenado aircraft needed quite a bit more runway. I never checked it myself, but that single statement has stayed in my head, that's all. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). Does the GP show for lpv approaches? Also you'll need to delete the WT GNS at the moment if you want to run tds. I also emailed Carenado about having a gns430 with a 750. They seemed confused about it and said they needed a 430 because not everyone uses a GTN. I said yes but only when users select a gtn from the tablet would there need to be a 750 and a 650. Going forward if there is a 430/530 displayed at the same time a GTN 750 or 650 is displayed the avionics will not work. This goes for every addon, especially once WT becomes default GNS. Afaik WT is working with TDS and PMS for a solution. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 18, 20223 yr No fixed engine and fuel panel arcs not being shown...Unless your deactivated nanovg in options experimental. No win 11 22h2 problem, it's that option the problem with engine panel, turn off and the engine panels arcs will work. Edited November 18, 20223 yr by edzunu

I have moved the WT GNS folder to my MSFS Addons folder and activate it via Addons Linker when required. That way, I can activate the PMS or WT units at will. For the V35 Bonanza, for example, I like the WT unit. For the PC12, I use the PMS unit. Over time, I expect that this will get sorted out.. Edited November 18, 20223 yr by Bert Pieke Bert
