The holy grail...

Featured Replies

Has been achieved! After two decades of 30 FPS fixed and then 40 FPS fixed... Frame generation with 4090 and 7950X CPU using TAA with G-Sync = WOW!

I have this running with G-Sync on an LG-C1 and I am gobsmacked. Its silky smooth, and with TrackIR it IS the holy grail! My initial reaction was WOW, and now it is double WOW! I mean out of big hubs at 120 FPS (max fps/hz my TV can do!) it is unbelievable. I even had traffic running and everything on Ultra.

I am amazed, and I would 100% recommend anyone looking to upgrade this combo is mind blowing!

10/10 from me.

Spec is AMD 7950X, 32GB DDR5 6000MHZ, PNY 4090, all water-cooled. LG-C1 65" 120HZ G-sync 4K.

Ian, what matters to me is whether or not I can do a 2h flight into somewhere like FT's KLAS, EDDF, KFJK, KLAX in the PMDG 738 with RT Online Traffic (or better), using one of the Seasons addons, and have exactly ZERO hitches anywhere on entire flight and right now they only happen if they do just before or during landing.  Is that happening, if so that is very new for all users.  I already have ultra smooth and 120FPS doesn't mean anything.  But those few stutters we often see right before touchdown or what have you, those for me are the only reason to upgrade at this point in time.  Don't use TrackIR nor VR.

Peak temps w/ the 7950X?

Noel

No stutters here, zero…! Temp is around 45c max I’ve seen is 65. Average 45.
4090 temp is 24 idle and 45-50 in game.

PS, the feeling of motion/speed at higher frames, especially when looking out of side windows low to the ground, is something you can not forget. I couldn’t use 30 frames again, nor 40. There is no going back now!

Now wait a minute how many flights w/ the PMDG 737 series into big airports have you done?  I just flew into KBOS and not a single stutter--but I had RT Online Traffic off.  Temps look good

Don’t use it, I was using the CJ4… I can try Fenix if you like? Time will be limited next few weeks, World Cup is on!

You chucked shed loads of money at it and got a result...quelle surprise

To be clear, you are achieving 120fps without DLSS? What is your terrain LOD...400?

I am looking to upgrade my PC with a similar system (4090 definitely, latest nvidia i17), but I only need 60fps (projector limit). Can you confirm that you can get at least a solid 60fps (i know you quoted higher above) with 400 LOD with/without DLSS3?

I don't run large airports, I mainly takeoff / land at smaller regional / GA airports.

nice specs shame AI traffic is worse than it was in 2004
