I do not recall the VC graphics being all that bad in the P3Dv4 version. They were great.... in P3D. The difference in cockpits (texturing and modelling) though is quite large. One can easily spot a p3d/fsx port in msfs. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

However my love for flying this plane is so strong I'd be ok flying it now and waiting to get that later. Even a straight port would look nicer than p3d. Assuming that rain drops on the windscreen would work now since that's a sim level thing? Exactly! Chris Camp
November 24, 20223 yr I liked the plane and bought the pro version but quite frankly to me it's overrated and I think a giant part of that was that its performance to complexity ratio was in a class by itself. This aspect is largely a non-issue now compared to way back when in P3D where 5 wind turbines could take performance into the toilet. Plus, one of their forum's chief trolls, "Snave", an apt portmanteau for, "Snotty Nave", flavors the whole company's ethos, IMHO of course 😉. I'll only buy if it's absolutely world class by MSFS standards. November 24, 20223 yr We have to see what they mean by a port; they may be referring to porting the systems logic and flight dynamics, although those will certainly need to be tuned for the environmental simulation in MSFS. For sure I would have no interest if the model were the same one as used in P3D. It is 2022, there is no longer a need to choose between these two. MSFS 2024. I mean even the visual enhancement project hardly made things much better. That approach worked wonders for FlySimWare...look at the gorgeous and highly function C414 we got as a result. These are the Maddog prices at Simmarket: P3Dv4: €80 P3Dv5: €95 v4 to v5 upgrade: €15 MSFS: €75 All cases are excluding VAT. That's a €20 difference between the P3D v5 version and the MSFS one. Not as steep as the FSL vs Fenix one, but still a difference.
