So that your DLSS Frame Generation is no longer grayed out.

  • Disabled your HAGS and then restart your PC.
  • Enable your HAGS then restart your PC.
  • Launch the sim.

Thank you for your answer but I tried your advice and it's still greyed out unfortunately I don't understand..

For some people the option is greyed out in the menu. Apparently it's an error in the menu. In that case frame generation could be on even though it's greyed out in the menu. Keep in mind that dev mode fps counter will only show non-FG fps. To see the fps with FG on (double fps) you need to use an external fps counter (GeForce Experience, RTSS etc).

An extra check is to go to usercfg.opt and make sure DLSSG 1 is set. This setting is at the beginning of the file. The location for the file if you have MSFS through MS Store: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

Thx for your reply but I've tried that before and I'm not sure if it changes anything...
Moreover if I activate the DGLSS by the usercfg the latency box is grayed out
I don't understand anything anymore when I've never had a problem

Hello everyone,

I have an RTX 40900 and I can't activate the FG.

Is it because my three displays are not G-Sync?

If so, neither does he have a way around this block?

Thx for your reply

Regards

G-Sync is not necessary for FG to work.
Right-Click desktop, Display Settings - Graphics Settings, make sure Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) is set to On.

Restart computer, and FG should be available.

That's weird.

Do you know how to find your UserCfg file?
One line in the file should read

DLSSG 1

Maybe you could try installing the graphics drivers again - choose to do a Clean Install.

I've tried also this tips

Doesn't works also your tips

I don't understand what happen

Asobo have acknowledged this as a bug on the official forums.

Apparently, even when greyed-out, if it is set in the user config file, frame generation should still be working, and you can prove it have the right frame counter to measure it, as some don't count the generated frames.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

If so, that's good news...
However I note nevertheless that there is only on the game menu screens where I am at 100-115 fps .. when I am in flight I am at 30-35 fps and red at the level of the FPS limitation ...
I have an RTX4090, a 13900 K on an Asus Rog Z790 E motherboard...
I find it hard to understand because before I had an I9900K on an Asus Z390 and an RTX3090 and I didn't have this kind of limitation

What are you using to measure fps? Dev mode will not show the double fps that frame generation gives.

I use Frameview from nvidia

Well, I didn't have much time last night but I will say I'm blown away. 3440x1440 with everything ultra, TLOD 200 and DLAA with FG I was getting 100-110 FPS cockpit and 115-120 FPS external on the ground at Verticalsim KBOI with the PMDG. Once airborne I was around 120-130 FPS. I think the comment about it being "fluid" and being able to really sense speed is the most accurate way to describe the difference compared to 30-60 FPS I've always been used to. Coming in along the foothills on approach to KBOI and looking out the window you get a completely different sense of actual speed over the ground. The increase in immersion is pretty wild.
