December 8, 20223 yr Just had a nostalgic moment. I built a Sikorsky S-38 back in my radio controlled days. I built dozens of scratch built a/c back in the day and this was my favorite! Not sure I will ever see it come to the sim. Latest video at The Flight Level Flight Over Frozen Lake Erie - Between Ice and Clouds - Ultimate Solitude - The Perfect Memory
December 8, 20223 yr By far the PMDG MD-11. Also miss the dreamfleet 727 and the Level D 767 / CPU: Intel i7-9700K @4.9 / RAM: 32GB G.Skill 3200 / GPU: RTX 4080 16GB / Freight Pilot
December 8, 20223 yr One of the first FSX planes I bought was the Level D 767, and in addition to that Chris Palmer had a how to DVD that went through all the switches/systems/functions. At that time I had a top of the line computer so I could run it all with excellent results (graphics turned up). About a year later I was talking with an Air Canada 767 pilot while waiting for our 767 to arrive and take us to Hawaii for vacation. So sitting around for an hour (plane was late) and we had quite the interesting discussion, and the captain was quite surprised at my level of knowledge of the 767. BTW he flew the “Gimli Glider” many times after the incident and knew exactly which plane it was every time he flew it. Now fast forward a bit to when we were in the 767 and he had his cockpit all set up etc but was stiil waiting for the ground crew to load etc, he invited me into the cockpit for about 20-25 minutes to go over stuff and show me the real thing. I was blown away at his generosity and giving up his time, but I think he really enjoyed too. As a side note, we also discussed his times landing at the old Kai-Tak airport in Hong Kong, and said it was one of his favourites because you really got to show your skills and nerve. Sorry to ramble on, but it was one of the best days of my life, and thanks to my Level D 767 for opening that door. LOL Love Airplanes and American Muscle Cars

First airplane I ever flew in and probably 90% of my FS9 days were in Carenado's 210. 9800X3D | 5090 | 64GB DDR5 | LG C2 42"
December 9, 20223 yr Of course there are the obvious planes that I miss from PMDG, but I’ll bring up one I haven’t seen anyone mention yet and that was the PSS (Phoenix Simulation Software) 757 that came out. I know the company didn’t last but I thought it was a pretty solid product back in the day!
