Here's one that feels like a familiar problem, but I can't figure it out.  When I run the 414, in any variant, TDS GTNXi or not, the EFB will open, and when I touch the power button, the menu opens up but as soon as I scroll the mouse to any item, the screen goes white, and nothing will get it back.  I thought it may be a conflict with something, but I don't think so.  I just updated to the latest Flysimware version of the 414.  I also tried running MSFS both with and without the current beta version.  I guess if it is just an SU11 thing I will have to be patient until Flysimware fixes it, but I would have thought todays update would handle that.  Any thoughts?

 

Did you update to version 3.4.2? I received an email yesterday from FSW so make sure you run this version, in case of doubt, redownload and re-install.

Its 3.4.3 now which stops the electrical fault

Is it the problem with the clash between the WT 530 and the TDS?

Both have been updated recently, the WT 530 in the content manager / marketplace, and the TDS from their website (just yesterday I believe).

WT actually worked with them to fix it, which was nice.  Also, a reinstall of the TDS is sometimes required after a sim beta update, as the beta tends to knock it out of kilter for some reason.

I reinstalled the TDS (took seconds) and all was fine.

Not long now - due out tomorrow!     Actually, it is a bit of a pain downloading the 1.5GB all of the time for a few minor changes / fixes. 
I wish more of the developers would look at small incremental updates like Fenix are looking at. 
Just uploading the changed files would do.  For these minor fixes they are probably only very small text / config files.

Thanks all, I think it's 3.4.2, I'll have to check, I downloaded in response to one of their emails.  I'll try some reinstalls to see if that helps, otherwise, I will have to learn to be more patient, had to do with MSFS, ha ha.

A white LCD screen is often due to a Community folder livery or mod conflict. I have not had your problem with any of the recent C414 versions. And I don't see any similar reports on the FSW Discord site where the response to ver 3.4.3 has been very positive.

Success, Flysimware support sent me an email, (one day wait, impressive), and their solution fixed it:

Dear Customer,

=====GTN units no longer are clickable and the tablet just turns blue once clicked=======
This is caused from a 3rd party addon Heavy-Division/B78XH/pull/239. And they forced default code to not work as we use that default code from Asobo. So customers have simply been removing this from their community folder. Keep in mind this is not our fault and there is nothing wrong with our product. I spoke to one of the members and they are working on an update. So if the latest version does not stop touchscreens from working then they fixed there end. Here is the addon.

Glad to hear you have things working. I thought about that HD 787 mod, but usually it just makes the EFB screen unresponsive in that the click spots don't work. This is the first time I've heard of it turning the screen white.

The 787 mod is great for the 787.  Fortunately, I just turned it off via Addon Manager so I can still use it with the 787.
