December 13, 20223 yr I use the ribbon toggling it off and on when I need to however I recently tried this one: Subtle Taxi Ribbon » Microsoft Flight Simulator and it's really ideal I feel. It truly is so subtle you have to look for it as you are taxiing as it is similar to the centerline green lights but and it's perfectly effective. As the 787 is up off the ground a ways you can only see the last green dot. In the 738 I might see two or so. December 13, 20223 yr If it is subtle enough I may just leave it on which is probably the whole point. sp
December 13, 20223 yr I would stay away from this type of mod that changes core files in the Official folder. That can lead to problems when updating the sim if you forget to go fetch the backup and place it there before updating. December 13, 20223 yr I have used this for a long time with no problem with updates. The updates over write it and you have to reset it after the update. Bill Edited December 13, 20223 yr by Bill Griffith Bill N7IBG
December 13, 20223 yr Author I don't know how it does what it does, but I do know installation is just a case of dropping it into the Community Folder. December 14, 20223 yr I wanted to use this and added it a couple of days ago, but both flights I've attempted since installing have resulted in CTD's near the end of the flights. Can't exactly say this mod is the cause but will find out with the next flight. Don't really believe in coincidences... we shall see what happens. I really liked the subtle dots on the taxiway lines so disappointed this didn't work out, at least for now. I have been having issues with the taxi way ribbon not showing up at the end of flights so I had hoped this would fix that. Going to try a different method of planning flights and see what happens with that. Ken
December 14, 20223 yr I've tried many of those mods but got tired of starting out the cockpit window trying to find the tiny ribbons and markers. And if you make them larger you might as well just stick with the default taxi ribbon. I have a Navigraph subscription, and it's much easier to use the airport map to taxi.
December 14, 20223 yr I've been using RXP Small Taxi Ribbon and Parking Helpers for a long time now. Never had any issues, simply reinstall after a sim update. https://flightsim.to/file/19152/rxp-small-taxi-helpers-3d-vr Undercarriage lever a bit sticky was it, Sir?
