No, but you must REstart MSFS AFTER any updating of your Accuseason textures.

No performance hit here either, it works as advertised.

the reason i ask is cause i don't notice any change. i have the steam version of msfs and it's not installed in the default drive it's installed on my d drive with all other steam stuff.

Do you see a folder called 'rex_accuseason' sitting in your MSFS Community folder?

On Accuseason's settings page, has the program / have you correctly identified the MSFS Community folder location on your PC?
(My community folder is in a custom location, so I chose the third option in the list. There is a default location for Steam, but it may not match where you have installed MSFS).

If you are choosing seasons manually, have you clicked the 'Apply to Sim' button in Accuseason for a season other than Summer?

Are you using 'Automation' to update your seasons?

Where in the world are you flying? If southern hemisphere, you won't see the any effect as we approach the S.H. summer.

Wdym? Is it not like Bijans where you have say winter in the NH and summer in the SH through one preset? meaning if I fly from NH to SH, I still get the appropriate season. 

I ask because I use Bijans seasons and was thinking of changing to Rex.

I works exactly like that. But it's hard to spot the difference between the summer default and the REX summer trees at a quick glance.

Accuseason works the same as Bijan's seasons.
Given there wasn't much info from the OP other than "i don't notice any change", one of the points to troubleshoot is that southern hemisphere flying right now gives you get late spring/summer textures.
