Navigraph Survey Results

I really think war thunder proves that isn't true.

Nah, I really think you're barking up the wrong tree with War Thunder. It absolutely has a mass market, but I don't think smooth, stable performance was what brought all these new people into the civil sim side, it was the nice global scenery. DCS already has fantastic skies and knock-out planes, but barely registers on most people's radars.

This thread started with the Navigraph survey which compares 11 discrete sims and 24 versions, none of which are War Thunder. It's just not the same market.

DCS falls over on easy (and also not CTDing)

What IS funny though is that this part of Avsim only wakes up when discussing MSFS.

Did it occur to you that it happens because MSFS folks come here to start the arguments with the few people who still come here to discuss X-Plane and post a positive comment about it?  The overwhelming majority of X-Plane users now go to X-Plane dedicated forums to discuss X-Plane in an environment where there are no MSFS folks jumping on their comments, ridiculing them.

You yourself started this thread with a 3-paragraph comparison of XPlane and MSFS and their relative performance in the survey!

As is often the case with you, every accusation a confession.

Yeah, sure.  🙂

You might want to read the top post, one more time.

Believe me, the inverse is just as true on the various MSFS fora.

But it's not about being argumentative about the positive aspects of [insert your favorite sim here], it's fairly debating the hyperbolistic cheerleading that some folks spout about [insert your favorite sim here].

Which is exactly how this post was revived just a few days ago...no?

Hang on a minute.  So you're saying X-Plane folks are visiting the MSFS forums and bashing every single positive post about MSFS?

Surely you're kidding.

A benign topic like historical weather can't even be discussed without insults being flung around between just the MSFS folks in there.  Just imagine the chaos an X-Plane user would cause with something as benign.

I'm locking this as I have no desire, whatsoever, to discuss it further with certain individuals.
