I've Changed My Mind About "Flow" From Paralell 42

Used that before for many months but still the handle bar comes up when I move my mouse towards the top of my screen. This is what flow prevents once the default menu is disabled in flow and what I actually like as I seldom if not never touch that menu anyway during a flight.

I honestly never find the handlebar a problem, admittedly I dont fly stuff with overhead switch banks (tubeliners and such) and have as much as possible mapped to keys and buttons...neither am I

  • I use a free mod such that the handlebar does not appear until I move the mouse near to the top, center of the screen, and the handlebar disappears as soon as I move the mouse away from there. So the

Think about it, the little handlebar appears when you move the mouse...somehow this handlebar at the top pretty much out of the way is an immersion killer, yet the concurrently appearing mouse pointer right at where you are looking to click on something isnt?

To each their own. Something will bother one person while another it doesn't, much like just about anything in life. Fortunately we all have options to do something about the things that bother us personally, even if it isn't an issue for someone else.

and quite often a third party will assess both opinions to help make their own decision. That's one of the main functions of a forum like this.

We need a PAUSE button on Flow if the main menu is now removed.

Flow update just dropped via ORBX. Includes Trim and some other goodies 🙂

Have you tried out the free version?

Of course, but only for one session, verdict as already stated....More bloatware I dont need for my usage.

The freeware version of Flow doesn't do all that much. Whereas, for me, Pro looks like it has sufficient features that I would use to think about picking it up (lbs to kg conversion, METAR in-sim for any airfield, etc.)

Since Flow has been out for a while now, has anyone come across a way to bring up the Flow wheel with the mouse?

I'd like to make the Flow wheel small and tuck it hidden in a corner and be able to make it visible just by moving the mouse to that location. I'm "out of" button and key assignments, so using a button or key combination to make Flow visible is not a good option for me. Besides, I can hardly remember all the button and key assignments I already have!  😟

Thanks,

Al

Interestingly, Right-Click of the mouse has always brought up the wheel for me, until yesterday -- it stopped working. I put in a support ticket with //42. Are you still having problems?

I'm a little miffed at Parallel //42 since SkyPark has apparently been abandoned. But, I do use the paid version of Flow for every flight and find that it's flexibility is very handy.
