Premium De-Luxe Regal Luxury Custom Bespoke KDEN (Denver)

Featured Replies

Are they having a laugh or what? Is this their idea of "Premium Deluxe"?

Maybe there is something wrong with my installation so I am wondering if anyone esle is having this issue as it's utterly unusable. I have never seen such preposterous elevation issues. You couldn't get a tank around parts of this airport so nevermind a 737. The taxiways have huge drops that are near vertical and I DO mean HUGE drops. Only Evel Knievel could find use for what I'm seeing and even he would think twice.

Are you guys seeing anything like this? Can you use your "Premium Deluxe" KDEN at all?

Yeah, it's a chocolate mess...going on 2.5 years now.  Taxiing at DIA is like going cross-country on an ATV.

And no one there has seen fit to fix it? I'm amazed😆 It's inexcusable. You can't list that as a selling point of the "Premium Deluxe" when you can't use it. It would be better if it were removed entirely.

If I unistall this will I get the standard version and is that usable?

That's why I bought Flightbeam's KDEN. The initial "bespoke" airports are between acceptable (EDDF; at least if you don't need taxi signage and stuff... which you do in EDDF, believe me) and outright bad (KDEN). Those later developed like EDDS or LPFR are actually quite nice, but those are made by Gaya Simulations.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I was tempted by that before I even found out how bad the MSFS version was. I can't justify it though. I just won't use it often enough. I can't believe they have left such an airport as Denver in such a state, though. It's really not good enough. I should at least expect to be able to use it. I have had to uninstall the "Deluxe" 🤣 version and use the standard one in order to get out of the place.

Absurd.

I found it quite amusing at first. Until my 737 had literally beached itself on the taxiway 😄 I should have taken a screenshot.

Well there's a hole (or a hill? can't remember) on the runway of Asobo's ESSA since 2021, another "bespoken" airport, so probably "bespoken" does not include the possibility to land your aircraft without dying.

Hi, there's a fix for ESSA (rwy 26) "essa-arlanda-fix" you just place in your community folder. I'm sorry, but I can't remember where I downloaded it. A google search will find it.

I don't recall this being an issue until a couple of SU's back.  Since I had not been there for a while the elevation defect was new to me so I zendesked it along w/ photos etc just a week ago.  Bob says it's been here for the duration but that's not my recollection and for the first 2 years I did a lot of flights in and out of KDEN.

I'm getting the same issue at TNCM in St. Maarten. Have to climb a hill to take the runway - looks very similar to that.

🤣 Yeap, that's the sort of thing I was encountering. Honestly, they have some nerve charging extra for some of these airports.

I actually only recently bought the sim after spending 16 months using it by paying for Game Pass. I bought the Super Duper Premium De-Luxe version that is packaged for mugs like me. Had I known about the problems with some of these airports I would not have paid the extra and just bought the standard version. I could have bought a few airports then.

I'll be making a complaint about these airports to them, I think. Look at it! 🤣 It's not good enough.

I'll give that a look later.

They really should revisit the original premium deluxe airports. There was nothing to measure them against at launch. Now there, er, is.

After they offloaded the world update stuff to other developers they became as good as payware.

It's a tad cloying that the few native airports you actually pay for are the weakest by a country mile.

Isn't that the difference with having PG on or off?
As I recall KDEN is in the middle of a PG area. PG has different (higher) mesh resolution.
Just a guess. I haven't been at KDEN in MSFS.

I'll test that and perhaps you're correct but really it's irrelevant. It shouldn't be happening. End of story.

I suspect it has to do with whatever is causing the world tears that so many of us are crashing into when we're taxiing or taking off. I think the underlying terrain mesh is severely messed up in places.
