They really are not helping themselves. Flightsim.to need to rethink....

At least its a gesture, if they couple that with an email to alla devs saying this is a thing for 7 days, then ok, at least they have a bit of decency.

These ToS would never hold in court anyway, but who's gonna sue them? No one.

You never who's out there and what gets them worked up.

For all we know Warren Buffet might be the site's number one livery creator.

And a little birdy told me many top freeware devs are pulling their stuff as we speak...😱🤐

What a tire fire. Trying to track down different creators on different sites is going to be a PITA.

It wouldn't surprise me because one of his companies owns half of the UKs National Grid!😂

In the end yes, its a good news for nobody really. That site is/was bloody amazing.

I seem to remember that there was a useful reference site that pointed to freeware FSX sceneries on all sorts of sites.  The same thing could happen again.  However if Flightsim.to don't change their policy I'm guessing most creators may end up coalescing around a small number of alternative sites which become well-known.

More than likely. But .to is probably not going anywhere, "smaller" freeware devs wont even notice/care about all this. Top players are pulling out as we speak tho.

I agree it won't disappear, but most likely it will no longer be the go-to site for freeware as it has been. Any would-be hosters may regard this as an opportunity - a space to watch.  A reasonably monetised site which allows uploaders complete editorial control would appear very attractive right now.

A dedicated Avsim section where freeware developers could list links to their download sites would be a good start, should flightsim.to go down.

I don't find the way to delete my uploads, do you?

I would appreciate a hint about the procedure to delete my content too.

So long,
Ron
