February 18, 20233 yr Commercial Member These ToS would never hold in court anyway, but who's gonna sue them? No one.

February 18, 20233 yr Commercial Member And a little birdy told me many top freeware devs are pulling their stuff as we speak...😱🤐
February 18, 20233 yr What a tire fire. Trying to track down different creators on different sites is going to be a PITA.

I seem to remember that there was a useful reference site that pointed to freeware FSX sceneries on all sorts of sites. The same thing could happen again. However if Flightsim.to don't change their policy I'm guessing most creators may end up coalescing around a small number of alternative sites which become well-known.

But .to is probably not going anywhere, "smaller" freeware devs wont even notice/care about all this. Top players are pulling out as we speak tho.

Any would-be hosters may regard this as an opportunity - a space to watch. A reasonably monetised site which allows uploaders complete editorial control would appear very attractive right now.
February 18, 20233 yr A dedicated Avsim section where freeware developers could list links to their download sites would be a good start, should flightsim.to go down.
