Presumably not both at the same time as that would be highly inconvenient. The eye doctor told me he had the greatest confidence for success of my left eye, which proved to be correct. This one took place February 17th. The next month he operated on my right eye, after testing my left eye proved fully corrected. Not only would the same day be "highly inconvenient" it would also be tantamount to malpractice. No reputable eye surgeon would ever risk his license - not to mention my eyesight - by being so unprofessional! I finally figured out how best to get the drops in my eyes instead of on my cheeks by sitting on the side of my bed, then lying down flat on my back! Pesky problem solved! Fr. April 3, 20233 yr I hadn't realized just how much cataracts were affecting my vision. The difference after each operation, done 5 weeks apart, was astonishing - thank you NHS! As for the drops, I found that lying flat on my back, with a hand mirror, enabled me to 'aim' perfectly. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org

What I wasn’t expecting was a shift in colour temperature. My right eye has a very slight yellow tinge when viewing white but the left eye shows it as pure white. I guess the old lens has a colour tinge to it. Ray (Cheshire, England). More likely is that a specific colour range is being blocked from reaching the rods and cones. I always thought the walls here in my little house were beige. Imagine my surprise to finally discover they are actually white! Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

I have my final exam with the eye surgeon on the 20th of this month, where if all is well, he will provide me with a prescription for new glasses. With no glasses at all, I still see well enough to drive, and even reading will require a very mild correction. Fr. But the brain is very clever at prioritising the good eye. 4K in P3D has never looked so sharp! Still needing eye drops 4 times a day for another two weeks. I was told I’d never need glasses for driving, just reading and computer work. That’s fine by me. Thanks for asking. 😁 Ray (Cheshire, England). April 16, 20233 yr Good news Ray I was reading about a new concept of eye drop eliminating the need for surgery all together. The concept medicine is called Oxysterol. If the food and drug admin would pass this in the states . i would be first in line.My situation has been postponed until June.
April 16, 20233 yr Moderator Hi Paul, that would be radical. It's such a simple operation I don't see how it could be improved. Would the eye drops clear the lens of the defects? The surgery who operated on me did 24 cataract ops that day. 15 mins work. Are you covered by insurance or do you have to pay? What reason for postponing? Ray (Cheshire, England). April 16, 20233 yr Yes Ray using cholesterol. My reason for postponing is due to yours truly. I don't like the use of certain drugs {Midazolam with Fentanyl ] for surgery, and Prednisone for aftercare. Ray: I have been lied to , and mislead by the medical establishment more than once so i have a cold war going on with them. The doctor that saw me the other day won't touch me because of my attitude. TOUGH!!!! I stand my ground. I'm scheduled to see his colleague in June. I expect the same song and dance. With Startpage or other search engines, type in Oxysterol.
