Awaiting the new Microsoft Flight Sim and the purchase of a new system.  Running a Chromebook for now!

the base package that you purchased works quite well with no add ons.  Just fly and have fun.

Beyond that, maybe let us know what type of flying (large/small/private/commercial), where (regions/country) and we will all pitch in with both freeware and payware suggestions for you.  Welcome back 🙂

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

Tnx. I'm struggeling with FBW A320 But start to get the hang of it. My home base is Stockholm Arlanda and I mainly fly Northern Europe.

I think we need a little more info. Do you mean what are the best freeware addons or what are the best payware addons? There are already threads on both these which we could point you to? By the way, welcome back.

Vanilla MSFS and FBW are a great choice. Nothing else needed. Maybe a nice Arlanda scenery and that’s all. Check the FBW website for documentation and videos to help you get started. Enjoy and welcome back. There couldn’t be a better time than now

If you are new to MSFS it might be a good thing to point out there's a bunch of free World Updates in the marketplace. These are optional enhancements for specific regions. There is one for the Scandinavian region (think it is WU5) but all of them are a great improvement.

At some point, you will want to start using the freeware Addons Linker.

It allows you to organize your addons separately from the MSFS Community Folder.

https://msfsaddons.com/2020/10/19/msfs-addons-linker-manage-you-ever-growing-addons-collection-with-this-free-tool/

Also worth mentioning, is that some of the default aircraft are actually very good..

Try the G36, TBM 930, CJ4  😉

Tnx for Your answers. Is the market place the same as MS Store or am I missing something? Sorry for this simpel questions. The flying is still there but the tech side of it gets me abit confused at times.

The market place aka MP is inside MSFS, bottom right tile on the start screen

At this point I'd suggest...

Vanilla install and if you wish to add anything stick to...

Aircraft of your choice. The scenery is miles ahead of any current sim even with additional scenery/airport add-ons. MSFS scenery will only get better with time.
