He doesn't because he keeps saying it can't do historical weather and some other stuff. P3D is done and it looks terrible. MSFS weather will get fixed.

Weather is the part which improved less then others in this 2 years.

The level of the weather started very good, to be honest, with some normal issues. They solved them but never really improved the system.

I booted up my old PC which has screenshots from release and thereafter on it, the differences in clouds compared to today was very obvious and far better back then IMO. Subjective opinion I know, but it is what it is.

I don’t think it’s exactly controversial to say the clouds looked better in the beginning. I used to really look forward to the skyscapes in Live Weather, and then SU5 / SU7 took them away.

They have improved a bit recently, but still too often I’m just praying they’re not the usual steamy puffs and something more like a glimpse of what we once had.

Aren’t people entitled to base a purchase decision on what appeals to them and what doesn’t? I’ve weighed up the pros and cons of MSFS and decided I prefer what I have now.

People are also entitled to install what they want, advising them like your post on page one when you don't even own this simulator is a bizarre response to me as you have no idea about this game itself.

Am I supposed to install A N Other Sim because the VR toolbar has regressed in this Sim? Am I supposed to install and play A N Other Sim because I miss playing with swords and magic in Elden Ring? No....is the answer, I continue to play MSFS because it brings me the utmost enjoyment and I don't feel the need to run away to something else just because one section of the Sim isn't as good as it could be.

That's your take on my innocuous post. The person I replied to might have a different opinion.

I don't see why me not owning MSFS is relevant. It was a simple suggestion to weigh up the pros and cons and decide what's  best FOR HIM. No one else but him.

Just because I don't own it doesn't mean I haven't seen it. I attend a monthly meeting of simmers and see it every month. I'm well aware of its strengths and weaknesses. You're making assumptions about my knowledge of MSFS and they are very wrong.

Ah, I remember the early days of MSFS, when we had thunderstorms and flashes every second flight (>bug). People complained. Now you want it back. 😉
Simmers are like real pilots - always something to complain. 😄 😉

”Then why not reinstall your previous sim whatever it was. Ask yourself if the advantages of MSFS outweigh the disadvantages. Installing your other sim allows you to enjoy the things MSFS cannot deliver.”

I never said uninstall MSFS. Many people have more than one sim installed.

I’m baffled why people are so hostile to me when I make comments about MSFS. Would it make any difference if I owned it?

Except the complaints in the early days were justified with the "lightning in clear skies bug", not needing something more the case of pointing out the obvious!

No the attitude of your post suggested it, very clearly!

I'm not being hostile, just pointing out that your comments are somewhat bewildering in this thread but you carry on, I'll go back to enjoying games!

Don't you all forget that MSFS brought us streaming satellite imagery, not even a thought in previous sims, and a technological revolution. Let's give MSFS more time to improve the weather and atmospheric depiction as we are all aware it's not perfect.

In response to your phrase, and purely to explain:
Elsewhere on these forums, the posting of "if you don't like this simulator, then use this other one" and by inference, this better one, has been discussed to death and mainly, the topics have been closed by various moderators as having no purpose.
Similarly, the posting " go back to your previous simulator" is of no value to a discussion of the perceived failings of the MSFS weather depiction.
As it is also posted by someone who declares on a regular basis that they do not own a licence for MSFS and in the dedicated MSFS forum, it tends to irritate and elicit the type of comments that cause you to be baffled.
