Saw an article the other day that suggested that the first Mars mission should have an all female crew. The argument is that females are lighter, eat less, so uses fewer resources.

A group of women, all together, for many months, results in menstrual cycles synchronising. 😕 Would you really want to be the sole male, on that ship, for 6 months. Could you actually survive? Let's say crew of 7 plus you. PMT X 6!!!

May 13, 20233 yr Author Well, it seems that work is progressing at Starbase at a feverish pace. Numerous deep reinforced concrete piles have been sunk and numerous cranes doing their thing on site. Looking like a huge concrete cap will be on top of the piles, then the water cooled plate on top of that. The plate will function like an upside down shower head, under great pressure. 6 to 8 weeks for pad and Starship to be ready is looking feasible.

And if it blows up on the pad what will happen to the wildlife refuge...or doesn't anybody care? Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.

The environmental groups care. The FAA care. And SpaceX care because their entire operation is in jeopardy if it keeps happening. The entire purpose of the time, effort and money being spent is to make sure it doesn't blow up the pad.

Like a 12 year old Noel making a bomb out of fire crackers and setting it off in the middle of the street and never thinking a car might drive over it as it explodes. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
