So I decided I wanted to buy the Kodiak through the store.  All seems well.

But when press buy and download.  It says I'm not connected to the internet.

I just finished flying for an hour...so that's not right.  Perhaps I'm a ludite and don't have some setting correct but I have an internet connection.

I read all sorts of posts, seems folks do have problems, some fancy too in depth solutions about setting policies and such, blew my mind.

I just want to buy something.  Am I barking up the wrong tree?  I wasted about and hr trying all sorts of things, checking firewalls, blah blah.  Nadda.

Any suggestions?  Help?  Would be appreciated.

Exit the sim. Sign out of the Microsoft store and then sign in. Start the sim and try the MarketPlace again.

Consider it a blessing… buy the Kodiak from simmarket or something. The marketplace sucks. 

I gave up on the Markplace sometime ago. Anytime I try to purchase something it says pending transaction. Yet when I email support there is nothing pending. For now on all purchases are from the developers directly.

When buying from the Marketplace, when you start the sim, you must NOT select "run as administrator", otherwise, it will show "pending transaction"

You have to be patient. Microsoft is a small start-up company - you know.....

I never ran the sim as administrator and I worked with support with no luck.

Oh my gosh, there are tears in my eyes from laughing...MS start up company.

OK this sounds nuts, all the rig ma roll.

I was just trying to save some money as their Kodiak price is cheaper by a chunk than the developer.

I will just buy from the developer, simple, none of this stuff.  Why they can't make it work easily like everyone else is beyond me.

Owning the Steam version of the sim, I have tried to understand how to buy at the MS Store with their  ludicrous double credit redeeming.  I think but I am not sure that I did. 

I have read threads of people struggling to get their products, being played as a pingpong ball with Steam and MS.

Not for me, I am too old. When MS injects a little sanity into their sale organization, maybe then. 

I am not excessive in my demand : to go directly to the MS store, select a product, pay the addon with my CC . But this is too simple. This great sim is very special in the sense that everything seems a little complicated, non intuitive, in the game (UI for instance) and around (the Store).

They really need to fix these issues because the marketplace is their bread and butter and it is what will keep the sim going.
