Thanks a lot!

Well, for now I want to wait and see how it looks in P3Dv6.
To be honest, I can't and don't want to sell my sceneries.
On the one hand, I think everyone should be able to use the sceneries, regardless of income.
On the other hand, anyone who wants to and can afford it can send me a donation via the Paypal link.

Well, now we wait for the next few days... Then we'll see! 😉

Dear all!

First of all, I'd like to quickly add a few pictures that I didn't send you last time.

First of all Chile:

2023-7-10_15-16-3-3051mfmr.png

2023-7-10_15-28-11-12r9fl1.png

PS:

Almost forgot: Of course my photosceneries also work without problems in P3Dv6!

2023-7-10_15-21-33-37rhcsc.png

Followed by the United Arab Emirates:

... Then we come to the news:
Venezuela, Guyana and Suriname are also finished!

Then some more info:

Some may ask, what about Ecuador and French Guyana? Well - unfortunately, I lack the necessary data sets here to be able to create these two countries. Therefore, in short: Can't.

On the subject of Prepar3Dv6: I myself have not (yet) made the jump to v6. For the moment I don't plan to change either, as P3Dv5.4 runs satisfactorily for me and due to the lack of addon development for v6 I don't see any future for me in this simulator either. Instead, when the PMDG 777, the Aerosoft A330 and the TFDI MD11 are released for MSFS, I will use MSFS more actively and P3D less. I think this is the case for many people who are not tied to the P3D by hardware, home cockpit, etc.

And here we come to the last point:
Namely, the issue of how long I will continue to create scenery.
And yes, I don't really have an answer to this question at the moment either. The truest answer is: As long as I feel like it. No more and no less. I would love to create many, many millions of square kilometres more - Central Asia, for example. Australia. North America. But realistically, it won't be like that. I'll just create the regions I feel like. Sorry to be so honest about that.

For the moment, however, not much will change!

More information about my project as well as an overview map of all available sceneries can be found here:
http://www.fsxforum.de/viewtopic.php?t=19503

For further information, please write me - as you are used to - a private message.

I wish you all a nice weekend!

Dear Friends,

it didn't take a long time since my last announcement but I have a lot of sceneries with me today!
Well, the covered area is not so big.
But the landscape is fantastic and for nearly all kinds of flying you can find suitable airfields.
And yes, I have to admit, today I'm really happy to present you the new sceneries with a lot of pictures!

Let's start with - for me - one of the most important countries north of South America - Costa Rica! Pura Vida!

Liberia

Unfortunately it is not possible to create Nicaragua, as Datasets are missing.
So we'll continue in the North, with the smallest country of Central America, which is just as big as Hessia - El Salvador:

And then there's a beautiful little island called - Jamaica!

But now - the last news:
I have introduced a new category on the overview map that I always link to:
"Impossible" countries - countries for which I simply don't have any data, so I can't create a scenery.

Otherwise you know the procedure - just write me a private message as usual!

Hi those look great

Will your autogen work with OrbX global scenery?

If they do how can I obtain them to try?

Thanks

Dear All,

First of all, I'm back and hope I've already dealt with all the PNs.
If I have overlooked anyone - please just get in touch with me!

And the good news:
3 more sceneries are ready!

Let's start in the West:
Mexico!

Awesome, Mexico! Btw, this includes Cancun Area I hope? And Mexico City? That's really awesome, btw, Mathias, I promote you in my YT channel with your autogen for Switzerland. Atm I am working on a scenery for Swiss the whole country. It really looks alive with your autogen package.

I wanna ask - do you plan on any development for Japan and Indonesia? That will be great additition for me, because I make some sceneries for there.

Btw, I wanna ask - how do you place the autogen, what programs do you use? Can you share them with me, so I can create my own autogen packages? I really wanna create some Asia packages with your help.

Hi Pavlin,

of course, it includes all of Mexico, Cancun, Mexico City, everything.

At the moment I don't have anything far eastern in the pipeline, maybe I'll continue in Africa, West Asia, or Europe....

Now, how do I place the autogen... Bit difficult.
I work in Python here, which works with ESRI ArcGIS Pro via the ArcPy interface and also with Hexagon ERDAS Imagine via the Python interface.
The results are handed over to ScenProc, which just creates the agn-files. However, all the work is already done in Python, ScenProc only converts, so to speak.

Unfortunately, I cannot give out my scripts for this as they contain proprietary code, in particular the random forest classification of the Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8 OLI data.

Thank for the information. This seems to look like a serious exercise and I am afraid I won't be able to work it that way, so I'll continue with the simdirector of P3D.

Matthias, may I ask for your ScenProc script? Or you can make a video for it, because, honestly, I deal with that program and it is very difficult to find a suitable script.
