You can move the Community and Official folders together... but easier is to use Addons Linker to empty out the Community folder and move the content to wherever you have space.

+1 on that. Also - you can easily disable blocks of addons if you're havng problems and suspect a conflict.

Hi,

As it said. Use Addons Linker. You won't regret it!

Regards.

Add on linker, 2 thumbs UP!!!!

I am using Add on linker already, but I dont want to constantly disable sceneries or aircraft within the app, before launching MSFS

Once you've applied/activated all the addons (in their new location), the symlinks stay in your Community folder. Absolutely no need to run the Linker again - unless you add/remove addons.

I tried to say that I want to keep my community folder with all my addons, even those which are not specially needed for the next MSFS sesion, so that  makes that folder grow too fat.

I know that you can disable via Addon Linker, all the unnecesary addons, and I use it,  but only when I want to disable for any reason, some special addon.

That is the reason I want to move community folder to other disk . Is it posible  ?

The recommendation to use the Addons Linker is not to disable addons, but to store them in a different location, so that your Community folder does not "grow too fat".

Have another look at moving your addons out of your Community folder to a different location (drive).

If you do that, your Community folder will not grow in size (other than links which take up no space..)

You can move it to another disk. I did this not long ago to a 4TB m.2 drive. I think all I did was change the path folder in the UserCfg.Opt file down the bottom. If you have Steam version you can also tell Steam to move the folder also.

I copied though (did not move) and only deleted the old location when I was sure it was all fine.

When you say "move it"... do you mean the Community folder or the (parent) Packages folder?
