Why don't you just use the simulator of your choice and be others happy with the one of their choice? I made my decision but you are free to differ.

Kind regards, Michael

Please try to be a little more authentic.

I centainly have critical remarks on MSFS, but I mostly put them where I can hope them to be considered, i.e. to the official forum. I invite you to verify that, I am @pmb2019 over there. Notably, look into the VR subforums.

That's something completely different from trying to persuade others to leave or change from MSFS, which isn't well received here, and for a reason.

Kind regards, Michael

Very few if any MSFS users troll on the XP forum, why is it always the other way around?

A few puddles, a little snow in the distance, an autogen existence on the horizon, a bit of zoom power ,a balanced lighting atmosphere.

This is my personal definition of balance, i won't trade it with yours even for $4.

Your choice of simulator can also have very awful looking clouds:

xplane12.04.b2-blackcsnfet.jpg

What is that? Black clouds? I know people made fun of MSFS's volcanic ash looking clouds in the past (which have been largely improved by now), but look at clouds like that.

No offense, but if you try to compare graphics, MSFS wins by a mile. And this isn't even factoring in frame generation with the NVidia 4000 series, which is something XP 12 may not even support for many years down the road. Not only does MSFS yield better graphics overall, it gives better FPS as well.

It is certainly a pity that a light banter thread should be spoiled this way. But why you guys entertain him ? He is just looking for that. Not the first time...  Just put him on your ignore list  where he belongs and let him do his show alone in his corner to let the thread be what it should.

I know it exists but never used it so far. I am not sure the holes in the communication help either.

But you are right: I'll refrain from more comments on him here.

A slightly confusing thread for me to follow with blanks in the conversation followed by quotes from posts I didnt see...

Then I realised I already have the main protagonist on ignore (I only have 2 people on ignore) and I assume that the quality of discourse is that which made me use ignore in the first place, a while ago.

Shame the thread was derailed.

The only significant wish I have is for continued improvement to map imaging, especially in areas like Africa, SE Asia, and South America. It's a minor quibble (and I know geopolitics plays a large role in the availability of some of this) and I still love flying these areas, but if I were to add something to my wishlist, this would be it.

It does not matter when MSFS version 15.3 is released we just put a computer chip on our head close our eyes and that's it. The only thing we can complain about here on avsim is that the engine did not smell right.

The question is: Will we all live long enough to experience it?

Completely disagree. You must be playing a different simulator, or you haven't setup the simulator correctly.

My current plane: Flysimware Chancellor Cessna 414 --> where is the "toy" effect. Can't find it.

The Fenix A320 --> where is the "toy" effect?

The Citation Longitude AAU1 --> where is the "toy" effect?

Yeah, with you there.  I have a ton of these planes (and more) and enjoy this simulator.

It's a shame people troll forums. I swear...some people in flight sim (online) are some of the most petty and immature people.

With regard to the wipers, it is worth noting that almost no real life GA aircraft have wipers.  Things like the Wilga (that does have functional wipers in-game) are the exception.

I suppose some people expect it to "fly on rails" still. What MS-Asobo did is really difficult, they broke from the previous more traditional flight models to try to make things feel more dynamic. It doesn't have perfect execution here, but it is what it is, some planes better than others. How much of the fault is on the individual plane dev vs. Asobo's difficult methods of implementing plane-specific physics (or maybe it's just a difficult thing to do) could be debated for years and no answer would ever satisfy everyone.

Cessna 414 is good, still also like some Carenados even though they fly a bit more on rails (sometimes it's a nice change).
