is  that  the  only  issue  the loading  time  everything  else  runs  ok with in the  sim itself if  it  does than   just  wonder  around  the  room till it  loads  🙂

Oh yes, I am satisfied with the way my old jalopy runs the sim and that the reason why I've procrastinated buying a new one.  And yes, I do a little Twitter in waiting 😉

You can buy a Kingston NV2 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe Internal SSD for $44 - put in one for AddOns and one for MSFS and loading time gets really short.

My W10 and active apps are on several Samsung 840 EVO 500 Gb SSD, all with a confortable margin. I went full SSD 10 years ago 😉.

But the 4770 doesn't explain it all as the longish jump in the sim was not here some months back. This is something which has crept on me and now becomes a nuisance.

Ok in that case, I'd empty out the Community folder  (move its contents somewhere else temporarily) and see if that cures the slow load time.

It doesn't.

The slowdown happens after a 75% progression of the  blue bar.  I wonder whether W10 or the sim don't fiddle with the just downloaded flight data. I use the standard Bit Defender without any exclusion. That or the blue bar doesn't reflect the true state of the download and there is still stuff in waiting.

Trouble shooting a computer is like reading a detective story. Eliminate all  which is impossible then whatever remains, etc. 😉

You could try disabling memory integrity and core isolation in windows security, as a test. It can have a hit on performance;

I am troubleshooting some FPS issues at the moment and have completely removed my community folder contents. Loading times across all portions of the Sim have improved immensely, like you might expect from a new install. The official folder is probably still slowing things down more than than necessary though.   Not sure I can do much about that except uninstall world updates.

No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.
