June 20, 20232 yr Hi, The sim is not starting. It stops just between the final (new) seconds counting and the "explosive" black screen. Then, if I run control + Alt + Supr, and the Task Manager opens, without doing nothing, it continues with the startup process, but generally stops again to halfway down the bottom bar. I restored two or three times the application, and then it goes well for a while, but after a flight or two it happens again. I don't know what to do. Anyone has had the same problem? June 20, 20232 yr Everyone once in a while (maybe 5%) my launch will do the same. Sometimes I can just restart it, other times a reboot is demanded. I know it does not like Process Lasso, and so if PL is running it will not start. Good Luck! Thank you in advance. After the last update yesterday, I had a CTD when starting MSFS ( first in well over a year or more) , restarted MSFS, and then another CTD when loading in at the airport. I then restarted the PC, and so far everything is OK. I usually restart PC after any update, but I forgot about it this morning. Edited June 20, 20232 yr by Bobsk8

I haven't had one for ages. But I forgot and didn't relate the CTD to this problem. Now I have my community folder empty and msfs is starting, but the progress is very very very slow. It's not normal. Perhaps a Windows problem. I don't know. Thank you.

I deleted everything in the Community folder and I restored the settings in Nvidia Control Panel. Things are back to normal, or so I think. But I'm not sure what caused the issue. June 21, 20232 yr I have this problem on a regular basis. It started suddenly a few months ago. Before then it was very reliable. It takes me over 10 attempts and even with nothing in the Community folder. Then it's fine for a little while and then something triggers it and it goes back to not wanting to run. So I don't know how to fix this.

So I don't know how to fix this. Hi, Peter, Things are going well, at the moment, except for some random stutters that I didn't have before. Maybe I have to tweak some Nvidia settings... I don't know. MSFS configuration is really a very complicated matter! Regards.

It works nicely just out of the box even with a pitiful combo like mine. Just don’t tweak anything 😁 ! MSFS is a relief after years, what do I say years ? rather decades, of tweaking. I have yet to open the Nvidia panel ! A couple of sliders to move to adapt to the flight parameters of the day (mostly traffic and LoD). So I don't know how to fix this. Hi Peter At what stage does it freeze out on you ? If the internet flow is very slow, the sim can take minutes to start the flight in game. It eventually does but there is a tiresome wait.
