v6 Addon compatibility list from those who dare!

I was thinking of making a post about all of my addons that I have working in V6, but then decided why bother.

All it would get is off topic posts and people going on about msfs these days.

I’m sure there are people here who would value your input. Don’t let a few insecure people ruin it for others who would benefit.

Everybody has different needs, I guess, but I am looking for:

PMDG 737, 747, 777... I understand these work with the "registry hack" but have limitations with textures🤔

Chaseplane: well, they announced a v6 version

ORBX: Global and others + airports. Ability to install from ORBX Central into v6?

Sceneries like FSDT, Flightbeam, FlyTampa, etc..

The list can be long😅

But I have heard the weather radar does not work at all !?
PMDG itself also claim that p3dv6 is not compatible with their products !
What is true now ?

They probably said that it's not compatible to make look like they have to do more work than really needed to get the planes working. Then they could say they don't have the time and resources to do the work.

It's not officially supported or endorsed by PMDG. They say (themselves), that there's "not satisfactory results, when testing it", but I haven't found any significant problems with it. It's flyable, the sounds and the Operations Center etc works. But there's most likely some issues with it. I haven't tested it throughly. Sadly the ActiveSky plugin for the weather-radar doesn't work - even with ActiveSky for v6, so it's a no-go for me.

Maybe someone, who've been testing it more, have some more insight?

No weather radar on P3DV5 with volumetric clouds too. >Have you tested deactivating v6 volumetric clouds? I would test it if my ASP6 would not be blocked now cause the "maximum logouts..." thing

Our latest update now provides backwards compatibility for third party API radar support (using non-volumetric clouds).

Hi guys,,

For those with SODE problems with jetways not showing up should check the specific XML file for the airport and see if there is a line like this:

"<TargetSim ID="P3Dv3;P3Dv4"/>" (this is just an example, can say any other version including v5)

If so just delete that line, reload and check.
