Two Bergens - Which is Better?

Featured Replies

Looking at options for ENBR Bergen Flesland, in Norway.

Beyond the nice freeware one on a third party website, I noticed two on Simmarket - one by RDPresets, and one by Salvuz. I am not familiar with either developer, but both look to be of similar fidelity. I don't care to purchase both products to find out if one edges out the other in quality.

So...question in the title line, is there a consensus as to which is better?

Thanks!

Knowing Bergen very well and going there regularly in reality and in the sim, Salvuz is much better optimized than RDPresets.
RDPresets is more detailed but there are a lot of problems. The slope of the track is too extreme, not in line with reality. There are still problems with the AFCAD. After the mesh resolution for Norway in MSFS is sometimes bad in some places is exaggerated declination.
RDPresets does not appear to be making any further updates.
As for me I chose Salvuz for the moment while waiting maybe Jo Erlend so interested.

Jo Erlend is working on AS Frankfurt and that will still take some time ….

Then Salvuz might be the better choice

Rdpresets version is great

I thought this was going to be the tale of a duel between two war torn rucksacks.

I'm a little disappointed.

I'm not sure how this comment assists in my inquiry. I'm looking for constructive, helpful replies only please.

Thanks to those who chose to be helpful. Looks like we're leaning towards Salvuz (though RDPresets does seem to have more polished advertising/videos) but open to hearing more.

Update: Going with Salvuz. Thanks to those who offered their perspectives on the products - particularly "guibru".

Looking forward to flying into a nice ENBR later today.

I read that as TOM Bergens. If you live in LA, you know...

Well, I thought it was funny.😄 In case you're unaware, a Bergen is a WW2 rucksack used by British forces, and a name still sometimes used today as a generic term for a rucksack.

There's room for humour in most discussions in my opinion.😊

Waking up this old thread since I'm currently in the same situation, just learned about these two alternatives for a payware Bergen scenery.

Now when you had it for some time, are you happy with the version you bought?

The only input I can provide is that RDPresets version is not compatible with FSHud since it's taxiways are incomplete.

Developer has not responded as well on this issue.

I would go for SALVUZ just because the lack of support...
