Tried restarting Courtl? GSX works on this end and it's improved so much since the original launch.

yep he needs to give it another go , he will not regret it

You should reach out to Umberto on their forums. You may have a problem with some of the Windows library files that GSX relies on to work.

Yes, and tried restarting MSFS and tried restarting the computer.

Eh. I can wait. I have pretty limited sim time and screwing around with buggy stuff isn't really something I want to take the time to do. No big deal, I'm not like the people ready to shoot him over $35. I mainly bought this one to support him as a dev. Hopefully he'll get it up to the reliability level the P3D version had at some point.

Again, I can tell you there’s nothing “buggy” about GSX that should cause what you’re seeing. If you have libraries of things missing in your windows, no update from GSX will fix that. I’m just trying to help you.

Even on the latest version, any time I create a custom pushback location and then exit the editor and push, I end up with visible artifacts from the editor - the highlighted push path, final location marker etc.  I've had this happen since the beginning and am pretty surprised it hasn't been fixed yet; this suggests it's not a widespread issue?  Does anyone else see this?  It kind of defeats the purpose of creating a custom pushback location, if you're going to be stuck pushing onto a bunch of symbology floating on top of the sim world...

Yes, I'm seeing the same in that situation, a workaround is restart couatl after creating custom pushback and re-request pushback, your edited custom pushback will remain. Wish it would be fixed though.

Have you posted your issues  at  the fsdt forum  best place  to  get  it  fixed

If GSX can't run because of a missing library, it should pop a dialog that says "X-library is missing, please install." 

This forcing users to go chasing around trying to guess why the program hangs on loading the menu is, itself, a bug even if the code is fine.

instead of posting  in here  won't  solve  your issue best bet  post  it  in the fsdt  forum least you will get a better  chance of  solving  your issues

Something else might be interfering. Do you run AI traffic of some kind? Have you tried to rename your community folder and do not run any other add ons except GSX and see if that works? I get it, one should expect that if forking over even $10 for an add on it should work, but we cannot reasonably expect said add-on developer to be able to test every single set up out there to test it.

MSFS is produced to run without any add-ons of any kind, and Asobo have adjusted their SDK over the years now to improve it; but, we cannot expect every add on to be perfect and especially if we're running more than one add on. 

I think of it much like a vehicle, made from a production line, to operate as mechanically designed. But if we go and make modifications to the vehicle, we nor the manufacturer cannot expect to know how the vehicle would respond to those changes... just too many factors.

Respectfully, hard disagree there. There are already over a dozen posts on the fsdt forum with the same problem, and in every one there's some asinine excuse for why it doesn't work. "You shouldn't be running traffic injectors," "well the log file shows a normal operation so it's something you're doing," "lower your AI settings,"  "oh just restart couatl every time you start the sim and every time you land."

Just about anything but "huh, this is happening to a lot of people, maybe I should look into fixing that."

- If there are too many objects, GSX should say so, or at least say "simconnect is no longer communicating, this could be because..." and maybe some error handling code that doesn't crash the menu just because there are objects loaded?

- If the log file shows normal operation and GSX is still not working then the log file is not monitoring everything it needs to monitor. 

- If there are Windows settings or installs that can prevent the GSX menu from loading, then it should explain that. Almost every other software on the planet will tell you if there's a file missing that it needs to run. 

- If Couatl needs to be restarted every five minutes, then maybe automate that as a bandaid before working on making Couatl work properly.

Me adding yet another "I'm having the same problem" is not going to do anything but add to the evidence that people should wait to buy this thing until it's working right consistently.

I don't run AI traffic. I've cleared the community folder. Still doesn't work. I've archived it again. In the grand scheme of things, I spent $35 on junk, and that's OK. I spend more than that taking my nieces to McDonalds. Maybe at some point the dev will stop blaming everything else under the sun and fix the problem. Maybe not. Either way, I'll be fine; I don't really need the stuff in GSX to enjoy the sim, after all. It'd be nice, but it's not necessary.

I respectfully disagree and want to try to help you because it really is a great program. And saying that GSX is "junk" is your opinion, but may give others a really bad taste which is not quite fair to the dev IMO. The issue might be something really simple. I too just had this happen to me (except for me, the menu initially loaded and worked fine, but after I triggered the boarding process then I think I tried to bring in catering or something and some time later I tried to open the menu again it gave me that loading error with spinning icon). 

My fix was to just close Coutl and restarted it, then it was fine. I totally understand one should not need to, nor would want to do that (breaks immersion and just would not be the way it should run). But I have something going on in my sim / add-ons that is breaking the process. I'm using the PMDG 737, maybe it's that? Both are very complex add-ons.
