December 2, 20232 yr Very oddly, I never experienced the zoom-crash problem described in this thread until I downloaded today's beta update. When I went to the World Map to plan a flight, the zoom was out of control and I eventually had to reboot the computer. When I did so, however, things were back to normal on the World Map. Something, somewhere, is causing this problem. If this is true that's the reason why most of us (including me) don't have this problem. it would be good if those who changed their internet connection speed to 100Mbps half duplex to try to fix this could revert back and disable ReBAR to test if it fixes the crashes. I never had ReBar ever, and nevertheless I'm getting CTDs when zooming on the map. However, it doesn't occur when I use the map enhancement mod. Edited December 3, 20232 yr by Daube
December 3, 20232 yr the issue seems to be back. It was gone with the latest 2 or 3 betas but wit with the newest .21 ii is back. Nobody knows what is causing it. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

That’s disappointing. I had hoped this would all be behind us after SU14. Don’t wanna spend my Xmas simming time just waiting to reboot and crossing fingers a flight will load ok this time… i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

That's a shame. I really thought they had fixed it as MS / Asobo acknowledged the issue at least once. I don't normally zoom on the world map myself as I tend to just type the airport into the search box, but I am scared to try to zoom now. Getting back into MSFS after a CTD isn't a quick process! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. I don't normally zoom and a few beta's back was still getting this bug. I'm still changing from world map view to IFR as I'm still gunshy from the CTD's a few weeks ago. As always. Any of you who have had this bug return and haven't voted. Make sure you do so over here.
