November 2, 20232 yr I'm curious if anyone knows anything about an update for the ATR. A lot of things went wrong with it after SU 13. I had to stop using it. It would be great to have it back. Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
November 3, 20232 yr Totally agree. It is not acceptable that an addon developed and sold directly by Asobo/Microsoft is not made compatible with the software update of the SIM itself

November 3, 20232 yr are guys affected by this: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/atr-42-72-hydraulic-press-and-some-electricals-go-out-after-landing-when-engine-idle/588678/70 I have this issue which is really annoying and now the AC is AOG until they fix it. I also have this issue after engine start, the HYD press only available if I push the throttle forward couple of inches. November 3, 20232 yr It's still massively glitched, e.g. it will still not hold the correct altitude at cruise level because it uses the actual local pressure and not the standard pressure for calculation. Impossible to fly on vatsim if the autopilot settles at like 13600 feet instead of 13000. I don't expect it to be fixed, Hans Hartmann isn't known for QA and his contract with Asobo was a temporary one anyway. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

SU 13 did quite a hatchet job on the systems, so I am hoping for an update. Hopefully it won't be too much longer. Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I love and a bit hate this plane - it could be so nice but the bugs and glitches kill it. The problems I encountered are: - as everyone mentions, electrics and hyd cut off at GI. But imho after SU13 it feels that with gust lock engaged the thrust is less than before so keeping a bit of thrust is less problematic at taxi - NDB's get placed erroneously at some approaches. For example any RNAV approach to mykonos is bugged. Strangely enough installing Navigraphs navdata instead of msfs default one solved the problem. - Terrain view on ND is misplaced for ranges from 5NM (for me atleast) - Throttle stops at FI in flight visually but you can set a lower thrust. And recently it started to move to GI in flight as well, - Lnav is funky sometimes - just yesterday in LNAV it started a roll over 45 deg, autopilot disconnect and stickshaker. That shouldn't happen. - ILS approcahes are hit and miss - sometimes they're spot on, sometimes it likes to get under the glideslope and remain there. - On the ground it responds horrendously to yaw input - landing in any crosswind is a chore. love this airplane but for now it is bugged and glitched over the top
November 6, 20232 yr Speaking of ground behviour, I found out that deactivating the nosewheel steering prior to takeoff roll and keeping it off until stop on runway makes the plane much much more controllable on the ground - it feels like any other light aircraft. Maybe that's the issue - at takeoff the tiller should disconnect (I think, if it works like on an airbus) from the rudder pedals at certain speed, but instead it remains on and at every rudder input it induces an enormous oscillation. Only thing I can't seem to find a key shortcut to turn it on or off...
