Recommendation request :-) What jetliner should I...
Everyone has preferences and different needs. I think you should watch youtube videos of these planes and try to think if you'll like sitting in that exact cockpit (What I mean is - I like the 727 but the FSS727 cockpit looks wrong to me for some reason). Think about what kind of operations will you perform - recreation of retro flights or modern liner operations? We are so spoiled with so many good addons that at this point it's just a matter of personal preferences and tastes. Reading your post I feel that you'll find yourself at home with the l1011, being a very well made and more or less polished model. You can even use it in a modern-ish context using a RAF livery. Sadly there are no good bac-111's available for msfs right now.

Is Majestic Q400 dead?
Let there be a Tupolev tu154m, let there be a Tu 154m for the sim.... woooosh!

MSFS 2024: Sim Update 5 Beta (1.7.6.0) Out
Are the taxi lights also a more bluish tone? I always found that MSFS's taxi lights colors are too "warm".

Aircraft addons expected in 2026 - please add
Would be really nice to finally have some decent soviet planes in the sim. - (Ablomis) Tupolev tu-154M (really really hope that it isn't abandoned...) - (Digital Aeronautics) Mil Mi-2 - (OctopusGRS) maybe an Ilyuschin Il-14 I've seen so many sim projects die that I'm not hoping for anything at this point but still check the news from time to time

PW 32N neo in town
"Go to "Settings", then on the right-hand side, where it says "Channel Selection", use the drop-down box to switch from "Public" to "Experimental" and vice-versa. Be sure to "Save All Settings" when you do. When you switch to a different channel, and after you have "Saved All Settings", exit Control Center and restart it for the changes to take place. It's possible you will be asked to update Control Center when restarting it, especially when going into Experimental. Once you have successfully changed channels and restarted Control Center, you will be presented with the product versions for that channel upon restart."

PW 32N neo in town
I own both, the only reasons to get FSL would be: 1) If you do longhaul and use time accelleration, fsl supports 8x while fenix 4x; 2) you got tired of flying just fenix, FSL feels different enough. Performance is... worse, not too much but a bit worse but remains flyable in vr (7800x3d, 4080s). I have to say that I really enjoy it and didn't regret the purchase. If you have other questions feel free to ask.

IniBuilds A350 Update V1.2.1 Released
I had a ton of wasm crashes in the a310, hence the reason I never bought the 300 (Even though when it worked I loved every bit of it).

Inibuilds A340 WASM Module Failure MSFS2024
Oh wow, never would've thought about control profiles... In 2020 and 2024 I was getting sporadic wasm crashes in the 310 and on the forums I constantly see that the 300, 340 and 350 suffer from the same problems - that made me refrain from touching anything inibuilds-related. I had a couple crashes in the 777 but never had one on the fenix... Really hope that Asobo tackles the root cause of it as soon as possible.

New DLSS Version 310.5
In VR it is a godsend - 4080s, quest1, preset L, quality: looks like TAA with oversampling but buttery smooth performance and no aliasing at all, the displays ghost a bit but they're much, much better than before with any DLSS setting. Tried PMDG777 and fenix and all went very very well.

MSFS 2024 Default Planes Get Big Fixes in in SU4
It is kinda... but in the sim on the ground it is too unstable, I highly doubt it is realistic...

PMDG Marketing... Timeframes
Nah, 40-45 sounds right, knowing how greedy PMDG are and always have been. And I bet they're gonna wrap it up as a 40% discount from the 73.80$ or something they're gonna charge for the full package. Looks like the assumption that they haven't got the unviersal appraisal they expected for the "rebuilt from the ground up" demonstration and are adding things on top last minute to make the price sound justified is correct all along.

MSFS 2024 Default Planes Get Big Fixes in in SU4
Was also waiting for caravan fixes. For me the main problems are that the inertial separator doesn't do anything and the fact that the amphibious variant o nwheels feels like a double decker bus.

V1 and Randazzo|| PMDG's Past Present and Future in MSFS
16x times the detail! Jokes aside, I wonder where's the 777 sound update, which was almost ready like a month ago....

Bluebird 757 Release Date Window Shifted Backwards
Oh my goodness I forgot about the fact that they said that! 😄 I wouldn't be surprised if the 757 really gets released in october/november, if gta6 doesn't get pushed even further...

BlueBird 757 enters beta testing, release probably in 2026
"Probably in 2026" because it can very well slide into 2027. More on a serious note, it's ok. We have many examples of how rushing can undermine very good products.

iniBuilds a340 Released
A question to those who use it - how much simrate does it handle? PMDG777 on my machine flies quite well on 16x simrate (I know it isnt realistic and all that but sadly I have very limited time available for simming).

iniBuilds shares A340 deep dive video
I just wonder about three things: how performance-heavy will it be on the system? How often will it WASM-crash? How much simrate accelleration does it support? I'd love to fly ini's airbuses but these three things hold me off...

Microsoft Flight Simulator | Local Legend 22: The NAMC YS-11
Ablomis, a creator on Patreon, was doing the Tu-154m and recently he made a deal with a sim-publisher to make it a full-fidelity addon in the months to come. But yeah, more eastern block planes (that work) for the sim would be indeed awesome!

Constant WASM crashes in the Inibuilds Airbuses (FS2024)?
It is a sim-related problem that has no solution at the moment (judging by Asobo's responses). For some reason ini's planes, both payware and default seem the most affected but I had this problem in the PMDG 777 a couple weeks ago as well. In one of the latest streams Jorg stated that they are aware of the problem but it has no clear solution - wasm just gets full of small errors and just stops working at some point, this rules the possibility to take small snapshots of the wasm situtation during flight to restore a previous "save" as it will just crash again. Inibuilds tries to patch the a350 solving single instances that lead to a wasm freezes but it isn't a permanent solution either as even on the latest patch it can and will crash. I had such crashes on ground, while meddling with the fmc, while in cruise just looking straight ahead and so on and so forth. I just stopped using any ini related planes for the time being. Oh, forgot to add - I had these crashes on two completely different computers so it isn't system or hardware related.

Dev Stream 07/23 – When Enthusiasm Hits Turbulence
My take is that it is a very complex product and Asobo are doing what they can. Being a big, live product they cannot implement big changes quickly without making everything fall apart so they're following a cautious approach: let's tap the holes we can tap right now, we'll think about the ship's hull shape, size ecc later. It's quite normal for them to appear not as enthusiatic as in the past as they're in the middle of hard, laborius, backend work - no flashy things to show right now. This is the core of backend work - everything is in the works, it's complex and it's difficult. This is just what any big and complex project looks from the inside. Frankly, usually the companies don't show glimpses of these moments, the features and patches come out of the blue as they're ready, but Asobo has chosen to communicate with us openly, showing the problems and difficulties for which I'm personally very thankful. Take it for what it is: right now we have a beautiful, constantly evolving sim and an ambitious team willing to do everything they can to do the best they can. Everytime I watch their streams I'd like just to say them "Thank you guys for what you're doing! For every mean comment there are hundreds of people filled with joy from your work!".

Majestic Dash 8 for MSFS?
They would be asked (forced) to do the q400 for xbox as well, which implies that they sould throw all the externally-run systems out the window and start from scratch.

FBW A380 2 questions
It is a very heavy plane on framerate, that much is true. To easen the problem you can deactivate the rendering of the cabin by pressing the clickspot on the back wall of the cockpit (the sign HAT ONLY behind the FO seat).
