April 10Apr 10 PMDG has released my only 737 purchased for FS 2020. I also own their 777 for FS 2020, not the freighter, and the DC-6. The L-1011 is my iconic airliner - that aircraft means a LOT to me after the 747-200/300 which were my first kits (Airfix and Revell) back in the late 70s of last Century 🙂 Then there's the FSS 727-200 and the 727 was yet another very symbolic airliner for me, and one of the airliners I preferred to stare at at the old Lisbon Airport spectators balcony (mid to late 70s of the 20th Century), until the terrible TAP flight 425 (727-828B) which made me "hate" 727s for a long while ... So, comming to my request, I would like to get your suggestions regarding the purchase of only 1 of the following: - INI L-1011 - PMDG 737-700 for FS 2024 (owning the 2020, it's $30) - FSS 727-200 - any other suggestion? Just Flight Bae 146 ? Other ? Is there a GOOD BAC 111 ? Thank you guys ! April 10Apr 10 Everyone has preferences and different needs. I think you should watch youtube videos of these planes and try to think if you'll like sitting in that exact cockpit (What I mean is - I like the 727 but the FSS727 cockpit looks wrong to me for some reason). Think about what kind of operations will you perform - recreation of retro flights or modern liner operations? We are so spoiled with so many good addons that at this point it's just a matter of personal preferences and tastes. Reading your post I feel that you'll find yourself at home with the l1011, being a very well made and more or less polished model. You can even use it in a modern-ish context using a RAF livery. Sadly there are no good bac-111's available for msfs right now.
April 10Apr 10 The updated Maddog MD-80 maybe ? The original version was just too expensive in my opinion but the new version with the additional variants included is a much more reasonable prospect.
April 10Apr 10 I certainly would not ignore the PMDG 737-700 at $30, particularly if you do not have any of the other MSFS 2024 versions. The sounds have been considerably enhanced when compared to the MSFS 2020 version, and now you have (apparently) improved 3D modelling and textures. Of course, I am biased, as the PMDG 737 has been my aircraft of choice for the past fifteen years Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
April 10Apr 10 There is NO BAC 1-11, good or otherwise...you could maybe import the old JF P3D 1-11 if you knew what you were doing. DC-9 is just about OK. 1011 is the best 'classic' tube available now I think. ...
April 10Apr 10 @jcomm, compra o TriStar. É o 500 das nossas bem conhecidas e é um avião que te diz muito, ao contrário das alternativas que colocaste. English Translation: @jcomm, buy or TriStar. It is 500 days that we know and it is a plane that tells you very much, contrary to the alternatives that you placed. April 10Apr 10 I would get the maddog 20th anniversary edition or the Avro RJ.  5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

Ui se é !!! I can't forget my flight, from LPPD to LPPT, in one of the old TAP -500, in the observer seat right behind the captain... April 10Apr 10 Unless your funds are unlimited, the PMDG 737-700 is a steal at $30.00, Full Stop. Â YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -B
April 10Apr 10 Looking at your post I would look into the md88 or the new L1011. I do not agree on the RJ. Great plane but I think you would prefer the other 2. The MD88 is amazing The L1011 is new and I do not own. Not sure if its been updated yet. Â Â Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

PMDG 737 (any variant) always good, but I had to pay full price for all 4 variants since I skipped the entire MSFS 2020 thing and my P3D purchases didn't get me a discount. L-1011 Tristar - waiting for it to be available in iniManager (had a P3D version and is was so so, flight dynamics seemed way off) FSS 727-200 - don't like, love the aircraft type, just again flight dynamics seems off (landing speeds are way too low) BAE 146 or Avro RJ - good but again flight models seems off (excessive float on landing even when the numbers are correct, airspeed, wind, flap settings, etc.) iniBuilds A340 - I feel disconnected from the aircraft and it seems a bit sluggish Maddog 82,83,88 - very good FSLabs - A321neo - very good and bit harder on CPU/GPU performance (I disable their entry in XML when I'm not using it) Aerosoft CRJ V2 - good but again flight dynamics seem a bit off, drops like a rock even if just couple of knots out of approach speed and spool up is slow iniBuilds A350 - good but don't have much time in it FSS E170/175/190/195 - light weight and early access TFDi MD-11 - ok, expected more given the price Disclaimer, I have ZERO real world flying experience with any of these, however, I have been a passenger of every single one of them 🙂 Something you might consider before purchases is what controller hardware do you currently have? April 10Apr 10 You seem to be into classics, just like me. So I think you should have the Bae 146 ANDÂ the maddog 20th anniversary edition. You need both, believe me Juan Ramos Â
April 10Apr 10 Commercial Member The JustFlight 146 opens up some different types of challenges such as steeper landings into places like London City and more traditional navigation with VORs etc. You need to stay on top of it too as there's no auto-throttle. It offers something different to following the magenta line. I enjoy flying it into Vagar while doing some old Atlantic Airways ops; chuck in some dodgy weather and it's great fun.
