Flightbeam KMSP Minneapolis

Recommended Posts

Today I had a nice time looking at all the details of Flightbeam's Minneapolis scenery.  I don't have much to say about it other than the fact that I love it!  But perhaps I'm biased, since I'm from the area...and when I was young (when the airport did not have RY 17/35), my dad and grandpa would frequently drive me up the dirt road (the road to the west of 30L, now paved - Post Rd) to look at all the planes departing and landing.  I have fond memories of that and I've been flying out of here for most of my travels ever since.

When I look at a potential addon purchase I enjoy seeing nice screenshots.... so here are some unique views with different lighting - hope you enjoy!

(Oh these are all SU14 beta so the colors will be a little different than stock)

Perhaps a minor snow texture issue in this spot but overall the airport looks good in snow

I don't think one can go inside the terminal but from the parking spot here at the gate everything looks beautiful

I've been here more times than I can count...even on the top parking garage and yeah...looks spot on

I don't typically park at the gates since I prefer general aviation...but they look excellent to me!

Usually a few C130's would be parked here.  Statics would be a nice touch

Wide angle - airport blends well with surrounding scenery

I rather like this one with the two parallel departures in the distance (I'm just above the Sun Country mx ramp)

Yap, love it as well. Quality work and good FPS!

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

Great airport pictorial Ryan, I'm sure you're happy with the nice representation of this local facility.

Awesome pictures Ryan! KMSP has always been one of my favourites and I haven't even seen it in person. So it is great to hear from a local how accurate it is. Not that I had any doubts about Flightbeam. They are still the best of the best.

Ryan: Biased or not...🙂...the creators seem to have done a wonderful job with your local airport...amazing and expansive details seen throughout in your screen-captures....

I've never flown in/out of KMSP myself, but I have dropped off and picked up friends and acquaintances...at this airport ...

I have a question about the gate numbering. On charts, and when you zoom in with Navigraph Maps, the gates are numbered F7, F9 ext. But in MSFS and GSX the gates just have a number, like Gate 82, 83, 84 ext..

Why is this and is there a way to fix it? Is this just how Flightbeam numbered the gates?
