Sometimes the active flightplan does not show.. help!

Featured Replies

This started in the TBM850 forum, but I think it is a more general bug of some sort, has anyone run into this?

When loading the A36 or TBM850 with a flightplan, often the plan does not show up in the VFR map or on the GNS530.

Sometimes the plan appears after a while, or after zooming the VFR map.  Other times, it simply refuses to show.

The plan shows on the NAVLOG popup, so it is there.. just does not appear on the map(s)..

Does this sound familiar to anyone..? 😉

Hmmm. Maybe @MattNischan can help here?

This happened to me today as well.  I was in the FSR500.

Guys, try following the information in this link and see if that helps:

MSFS Tutorials | Load a Simbrief flight plan into the G1000 Nxi | Simvol

It worked for me with the FSR 500.

AMD Ryzen 9900X3D & ASUS X870E Gaming Plus MB, w/64 Gb GSkill DDR5 RAM, PNY RTX 5090 GPU, lots of SSD's and M.2 drives, HAVN  Case, Virpil VPC Panels 2 and 3, Virpil Constellation Alpha Stick, Virpil Rotor TCS Plus w/ Hawk-60 Collective grip, TM TCA Yoke Boeing Edition, TM HOTAS A-10 and F/A-18 Sticks and TM TPR Rudder pedals. This is the GNS only panel correct?

I have same problem too with tbm, but sounds like other planes are having same problem. Looks like a bug hopefully it will get sorted out. Right now I just manually insert flight plan.

GTN panel also sometimes has a missing flightplan on the vfr map.

Is it possible that this was caused by the Navigraph cycle bug? Perhaps when the flight plan contains a VOR it causes the problem. Did you update to revision 3 and it still happens?

I have had the flightplan show up after a delay.. not sure the content matters.

Going to do some more testing... The steamgauge c172 seems to load a flightplan just fine, and the Blacksquare planes do not (consistently).  Wonder if the state saving code interferes with flightplan loading.

Not sure also, but the delay could be due to the system looking for a VOR and not being able to find it. Unless there was no VOR in the flight plan.

But does it still happen after updating Navigraph cycle to revison 3? If it does then that isn't the problem.

Not using Navigraph.. so I assume that is out of the picture.

I wouldn't think the gtn 750/GNS 530 panel option would show a flight plan on the GNS.  That unit is essentially disabled when the GTN is shown.

Perhaps with the TDS (I don't have it), but not with the PMS. If you load a flight plan in the PMS GTN750 toolbar panel it should automatically load it into any other WT Garmin device (G3000, G1000, GNS530, I think even on the G3X), if using WTT mode.
